People are getting more and more savvy at figuring out the partial truth or incomplete information methods of propaganda. It doesn’t take an expert on middle eastern foreign policy or something to recognize these things.

It is not crazy to be skeptical of numbers and an editorial around those numbers when they are spoon fed from a designated terror organization.

Exercise some critical thinking here. Look at the crafty wording you’ve used. “Innocents” You have no basis to speculate who is an innocent or not.

I don’t think anyone disputes the raw total numbers (Reuters), or at least they shouldn’t. They’re terrible. That’s what is accurate for me. And frankly those raw totals should be enough for the conversation you’re trying to have and the point you’re trying to make.

The problem is the breakdown of those numbers by both sides. That breakdown is in both cases, unfounded and propaganda. Hamas/Fatah has a vested interest in representing as much of the total as possible as “innocents” so that it makes Israel look bad and unreasonable. Israel has a vested interest in representing as much of the total as possible as “Hamas terrorists” so that they look powerful and surgical in their prosecution.

Both of them have something to gain by bullshitting the breakdown of combatants vs civilians, and both are doing so. Neither of them have the data necessary to break down civilians vs Hamas members. That data is not compiled by the health ministry, who is the sole reporter of these statistics. It doesn’t exist. If the data isn’t gathered, it certainly can not be analyzed.

Again, if you see such a breakdown, it’s bogus and propaganda - from either side. These false breakdowns don’t really add anything to the conversation. The only thing that can come of them is being automatically written off. No one is going to be swayed to your side by adding this false breakdown. It’s a lie for no reason. If you say “ innocents have been killed” I will automatically know you’re spouting manufactured propaganda, and I will disregard what you have to say.

Better would he to stick to the raw totals and have conversations about coexisting in the Middle East. No one wins wars. You lose more or you lose less, but you don’t win. You all need to start having conversations about the future instead of being mired in the past. No one should give a ~~Seba~~shit about who did what in Jerusalem 2500 years ago. If I had my way, the world would go straight Judgement of Solomon on every holy site in the region so that there is nothing to fight over.

Where are all the girls? And why are all these boys dressed in black uniform? Hmm... some very interesting things going on here... Does Hamas send children to fight and die for them? Do the parents of these children support their engagement in war?

Also what do you do?

Yes. Israel is not responsible for the safety of the population of another sovereign entity. They are responsible for their own.

Hamas (the Gaza government) is solely responsible for the safety of the Gaza citizens. They’ve been given a very clear path to having that safety. So far they have been petulant and refused at terrible cost to the population they owe this responsibility to.

I hope they do the right thing soon. It’s awful.

The more I look into the Twitter thread you posted, the more questions come to light... such as... what about this video from the same feed? And why are all the kids in these videos boys? Where are all the girls? And why are all these boys dressed in black uniform? Hmm... some very interesting things going on here... Does Hamas send children to fight and die for them? Do the parents of these children support their engagement in war?

umm he didnt drop anything. that was his BLOOD from the initial fall from BEING SHOT.

as to your second point. Grasping at straws now??
oh, it's a coincidence that they are all wearing all black and that the kid who got shot in the second video is also holding something in his hand that looks like a remote triggering device?

And I'm not convinced that what is on the ground is his blood... it looks like a gun or a triggering device to me.

Israel caught lying. they actually did torture and break this boys arms and gave him no treatment. only after his release did the red cross treat him

oh i see you posted something else. i thought u were talking about the videos i posted.

Yeah that is normal. IDF needs to get GTFO. and i dont blame any young kids wanting to fight at all after seeing 20000 of their people be killed, alot of them probably their own family members. Israels response only just created another new generation that wants revenge because of it.
