That information is literally available, not sure what you are trying to say here lol

Edit, to give an example about health care:

Increasing share of Americans favor a single government program to provide health care coverage

    Taxes:

More Americans favor raising than lowering tax rates on corporations, high household incomes

So yeah, my statement is definitely true, sorry. Seems her ideas aren't that crazy

    Collete [1389080]

    Her ideas are amazing

Markey and Ocasio-Cortez, the 29-year-old democratic socialist, called for completely ditching fossil fuels, upgrading or replacing “every building” in the country and “totally overhaul transportation” to the point where “air travel stops becoming necessary.”
They also aimed to have the U.S. creating “net-zero” greenhouse gases in 10 years.

Why “net zero”? The lawmakers explained: “We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast.”

Ok, so you post debunked bullshit lol.

I'm sorry for you the majority of the people just don't like your ideas so much.

    debunked by who ?

    a follow up interview

The freshman Democratic congresswoman from New York doubled down on one of the most ridiculous and controversial parts of her Green New Deal Thursday in a sit-down interview with Showtime’s "Desus & Mero," where she tried – and failed – to explain why scaling back on “farting cows” were included in her original proposal draft.
“In the deal, what we talk about is ... that we need to take a look at factory farming, period. It’s wild,” she told hosts Desus Nice and The Kid Mero (yes, those are their actual monikers).
“And so, it’s not to say you get rid of agriculture. It’s not to say we’re going to force everybody to go vegan or anything crazy like that. But it’s to say, listen, we’ve got to address factory farming. Maybe we shouldn’t be eating a hamburger for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Like, let’s keep it real. We have to take a look at everything,” she continued.

Of course, AOC provided exactly zero explanation for how she’d actually keep cows from producing methane, which is the No. 1 source of agriculturally-produced greenhouse gasses, which the Green New Deal aims to totally eliminate. Nor does she address exactly how low she wants to take the cow population, or who in their right mind is eating a “hamburger for breakfast, lunch and dinner” to create this alleged over-the-top beef demand in the first place.

In AOC’s original Green New Deal resolution proposal, “farting cows” were specifically singled out verbatim as a reason why a total elimination of all greenhouse gas emissions over the next decade just isn’t feasible.

“We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero, emissions in 10 years because we aren't sure that we'll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast,” the document said.

And it was just an idea to make people aware of the damage the meat industry does, and she is 100% right about that

Edit: and I'm pretty sure you never even read the green new deal.

Ok, you are just plain stupid, what is debunked that she 100% meant the thing about cow farts, it was made to make people aware, context et all.

And the beef industry accelerates climate change:

Instead you support people that tune down on environmental regulations, while climate change might already cause more dead and destruction than covid ever did, and it will be way worse if we don't take action now. but shoot the messenger if you want, you do you.

No you are stupid, Republicans are obsessed over people like AOC because they say out loud what the majority of Americans want, so Fox news paints those people like enemies of the state, and you fall right into the trap, she is also not a friend of a lot of established Democrats. Republicans shit in their pants for people like that.

You literally claim that she can make laws, while she can't make those, and you call her hypocrite, look in the mirror mate

Edit: if fox news hadn't talked so much about her you probably didn't even knew who she was,

You are being played so hard, you might have trouble walking tomorrow

    SaintLuke [2220265]

funny, you live in Spain bro...please don't try and act like you have a clue what "the majority of Americans" want. If this statement was true, then her bat shit crazy ideas would have already been implemented...

seems the majority want it to say the same...

So no, your statement is still wrong and you are still an idiot when it comes to knowing what America wants. AOC's wants are still bat shit crazy and these 2 things are not the things folks are worried about when it comes to her. As a conservative, I agree America needs better healthcare and a better tax system.

Can't you read, the first sentence:

"A majority of Americans continue to say the federal government has a responsibility to make sure all Americans have health care coverage."

    than:

"Among the public overall, 63% of U.S. adults say the government has the responsibility to provide health care coverage for all, up slightly from 59% last year. Roughly a third (37%) say this is not the responsibility of the federal government, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted July 27 to Aug. 2 among 11,001 adults"

    SaintLuke [2220265]

can you not read the charts? only 36% want what you claim...

AOC is a Champagne socialist lectures others but does the opposite shes a lying hypocrite

To achieve the goal of “a full transition off fossil fuels and zero greenhouse gases” within 10 years, New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal says the United States must “totally overhaul transportation by massively expanding electric vehicle manufacturing, build charging stations everywhere, build out high-speed rail … create affordable public transit available to all, with goal to replace every combustion-engine vehicle.”
AOC “wants to save the planet with her Green New Deal, but she keeps tripping over her own giant carbon footprint,” the New York Post noted in a March 2 report.

During her campaign, Ocasio-Cortez had access to public transit – the famed No. 7 subway line was 138 feet from her Queens campaign headquarters, a one-minute walk.
Yet AOC listed 1,049 transactions for Uber, Lyft, Juno and other car services, federal filings show. The campaign had 505 Uber expenses.
Ironically, the Post noted, the Uber-loving Ocasio-Cortez took a public stand against Uber after a New York City taxi driver committed suicide in February 2018.
“Yellow cab drivers are in financial ruin due to the unregulated expansion of Uber,” she tweeted on March 21. “What was a living wage job now pays under minimum.”
AOC’s campaign billed only seven rides in yellow cabs in a year and a half, federal filings show. On Oct. 12, 2018 alone, the campaign logged 26 car-service transactions.
Ocasio-Cortez spent $29,365.70 on car services, along with car and van rentals, the federal filings show.
According to the American Public Transportation Association, “a single person … by eliminating one car and taking public transportation instead of driving, a savings of up to 30 percent of carbon-dioxide emissions can be realized.”
After winning the Democratic Primary in June, Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign also “embraced the friendly skies, logging 66 airline transactions costing $25,174.54 during campaign season,” the Post noted.
AOC or her staff took Amtrak far less – only 18 times – “despite high-speed rail being the cornerstone of her save-the-world strategy,” the Post said. “Most of the flights came after her primary win gave her superstar status and Ocasio-Cortez spent weeks jetting around the country, burning fuel to support her fellow Dems.”
“The woman who boasts of a ‘razor-sharp BS detector’ seems to have trouble sniffing out her own,” the Post noted.
Someone else who is calling BS on AOC is the co-founder of Greenpeace.
Patrick Moore, who said he left Greenpeace 33 years ago “because they were hijacked by eco-fascists,” referred to Ocasio-Cortez as a “pompous little twit.”
On Feb. 22, Ocasio-Cortez responded to critics of the Green New Deal by tweeting: “Yup. If you don’t like the #GreenNewDeal, then come up with your own ambitious, on-scale proposal to address the global climate crisis. Until then, we’re in charge — and you’re just shouting from the cheap seats.”
Moore responded: “Pompous little twit. You don’t have a plan to grow food for 8 billion people without fossil fuels, or get food into the cities. Horses? If fossil fuels were banned every tree in the world would be cut down for fuel for cooking and heating. You would bring about mass death.”
On March 2, Ocasio-Cortez responded to the New York Post article, tweeting: “I also fly & use A/C Living in the world as it is isn’t an argument against working towards a better future. The Green New Deal is about putting a LOT of people to work in developing new technologies, building new infrastructure, and getting us to 100% renewable energy.”
Moore responded: “The “world as it is” has the option of taking the subway rather than a taxi. option of Amtrak rather than plane, option of opening windows rather than A/C. You’re just a garden-variety hypocrite like the others. And you have ZERO expertise at any of the things you pretend to know.”

And you have ZERO expertise at any of the things you pretend to know.”

    debunked by who ?

    a follow up interview

Instead you support people that tune down on environmental regulations, while climate change might already cause more dead and destruction than covid ever did, and it will be way worse if we don't take action now. but shoot the messenger if you want, you do you.

funny, you live in Spain bro...please don't try and act like you have a clue what "the majority of Americans" want. If this statement was true, then her bat shit crazy ideas would have already been implemented...

    Capgros [2088627]

That information is literally available, not sure what you are trying to say here lol

Edit, to give an example about health care:

Increasing share of Americans favor a single government program to provide health care coverage

    Taxes:

More Americans favor raising than lowering tax rates on corporations, high household incomes

So yeah, my statement is definitely true, sorry. Seems her ideas aren't that crazy

    SaintLuke [2220265]

good lord you are dumb bro..the first link you posted is talking about Democrats ONLY.

    Majority of DEMOCRATS...Reading helps.

seems the majority want it to say the same...

So no, your statement is still wrong and you are still an idiot when it comes to knowing what America wants. AOC's wants are still bat shit crazy and these 2 things are not the things folks are worried about when it comes to her. As a conservative, I agree America needs better healthcare and a better tax system.

    Capgros [2088627]

Can't you read, the first sentence:

"A majority of Americans continue to say the federal government has a responsibility to make sure all Americans have health care coverage."

    than:

"Among the public overall, 63% of U.S. adults say the government has the responsibility to provide health care coverage for all, up slightly from 59% last year. Roughly a third (37%) say this is not the responsibility of the federal government, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted July 27 to Aug. 2 among 11,001 adults"

    SaintLuke [2220265]

can you not read the charts? only 36% want what you claim...

what she wants to do is stupid bro, simple.

You cannot do away with all fossil fuels until we are far enough along the road of clean energy...which is much farther than 10 years away.

I have yet to hear anybody say clean energy is not the way to go...just that we need to keep our production of fossil fuels going until we can actually implement clean energy on a country-wide basis.

At the time this story was published, the FAQ page with the phrase “farting cows” appeared to have been removed from Ocasio-Cortez’s website. Fox News’ John Roberts reported that the language was tweaked to “emissions from cows” in an update, which also appears to have been deleted.

Seriously dude, are you older than 12?

Did you even read the green new deal? No I don't think so. What do you have against zero emissions?

    Collete [1389080]

Zero emissions won't ever be achieved , and I never said I was against lowering pollution but as she doesn;t preacrive what she preach's her green deal is a load of.

    Capgros [2088627]

It is very possible to do that, not sure what you have against trying to do it? Do you have financial interests?

    SaintLuke [2220265]

what she wants to do is stupid bro, simple.

You need to invest, it's a pretty simple concept.

It's investing in clean energy and get rid of fossil fuel asap, or out of control global warming, not sure what is so difficult to understand here

    SaintLuke [2220265]

can you not read the charts? only 36% want what you claim...

the only time the majority say what you think is when it is democrats only.

As the answer for "Which of the following approaches for providing health care in the United States would you prefer--a government run health care system, or a system based mostly on private health insurance?"

I'm sorry, but that is where it stands now, seems your system is expensive and exclusive at this moment in time. That's why no other country really likes it

    Hoch [1772040]

Should Canada continue to take in refugees/immigrants at our current pace?

    WiseTheRumGone [2078276]

if I was a Canadian id take a nationalist approach and say yes.

    Hoch [1772040]

    I see.

Are you aware of just how dire our housing situ is across Canada?

    How are healthcare is?

    WiseTheRumGone [2078276]

    who builds houses?

    Hoch [1772040]

    naive view fella,

The condition in Canada is far beyond a labour shortage. As is there are all manner of supply related issues across the board, We are the lowest in the G7 for housing per capita.

The cost of housing is dramatically increasing.

Perhaps you could examine the issue more thoroughly than relying upon tired concepts that do not bear out in the Canadian condition.

    WiseTheRumGone [2078276]

    immigrants. immigrants build those houses.

just answer the f**king question. There's a reason why you are known as a weaselly little shit in this forum.
actually you don't really know what the issue is and just pissed you are sounding the fool

First of all this has been happening for decades and now it's Biden's fault? Second, all of Trump's term a lot of you supported him using emergency funds to build a wall ramping up border patrol and building these detention centers locking people up indefinitely separating young kids from their families young kids getting ****d by staff in these detention facilities for illegal immigrants.. Some of you sat there the past 4 years and said who cares their all criminals coming here to join gangs sell drugs and kill people and the second Trump leaves office oh no it's all Biden's fault the people trying to cross the border in extremely harsh conditions. How do you think you stop people from trying to come here without giving them an easier option besides having to wait over 20 years to gain citizenship?

Edit: Another great response from the village idiot

You do know that the cages were built under Obama not Trump

In a 2019 interview with nonpartisan think tank The Aspen Institute, Jeh Johnson, Barack Obama's Homeland Security secretary, told NPR's Mary Louise Kelly that the "cages" predate the Trump administration.

"Chain-link barriers, partitions, fences, cages, whatever you want to call them were not invented on January 20, 2017," Johnson said.
Kelly asked Johnson about a 2014 photograph of him touring an Arizona facility for migrants along with former Gov. Jan Brewer. The picture is archived on the website for the Arizona Capitol Times.

He built them yes, but used them differently, this has been explained multiple times, you seem a bit slow to understand this.

‘Kids in cages’: It’s true that Obama built the cages at the border. But Trump’s ‘zero tolerance’ immigration policy had no precedent.
