Which basically amounts to 20 years squandered, as the hegemonic interests pull out any and all the stops to transitioning forward. 45-60% of their GDP is foreign aid. Banks are effectively empty. We're watching another Yemen.

That said, any country that exports armaments should fully expect to import the refugees produced by their exported products destruction.

If not, why not dispense with the pretense of making improvements in the lives of a country activel being bombed? Why not dispense with the idea that a recognized international force that kills, maims and destroys an entire country is any better or more legimitately empowered to do things in that country than the acts of a group of ideologically-fueled domestic militant force. Ideology effectively fuels both of their causes, they're both butchers, only one has access to credit :/

    Hoch [1772040]

so where is Canada going to house those 400K immigrants, not to mention refugees, etc. coming this year alone? Lowest in the G7 for housing units per capita.

    EddieLee706 [1591144]

This is going to be a huge problem for multiple countries.

I dont know about Canada, but we cant even take care of the homeless that we have now.

We could, but we refuse to help those who want to be helped (Some homeless people do not want to be helped).

This is ass backwards thinking by the Biden administration. He did say immigrants are the future. They dont have to take any vaccines either.

The Biden admin only bringing them in for cheap slave labor. For the bottom end jobs that Americans dont want.

Make that make sense to me.

    Larten_Crepsley [1569797]

This is the cost of a so called “war on terror”. The way I see it America just spent the good part of 20 years plundering Afghanistan and turning it into a shit hole. Check the civilian casualties. What have they actually achieved in their 20 years of being there ? And what the hell has 8 trillion dollars of tax payers money spent on this bullshit done for America ?

    Capgros [2088627]

    You are not wrong:

US airstrikes killed at least 22,000 civilians since 9/11, analysis finds

The Taliban literally gained more popularity over the years that the USA was there, only for the fact that people don't like to be killed, or at least, the chance to get the hell bombed out of them for no reason.
Thankfully the Taliban are in power and will respect womens rights to education and work and will bring democracy to the country and accept all religions and LGTBQ people.

People still choose that over being bombed by a foreign invasion army, while most don't even like the politics of the Taliban.

Edit: The only reason they let them is because the Taliban was one of the only groups that actually could win this war.

One party less that kills is a win, no matter how you look at it, but western people don't even try to understand, doesn't matter if it's a sudden bomb from a drone, or a beheading. Both are horrible ways to kill.

People still choose that over being bombed by a foreign invasion army, while most don't even like the politics of the Taliban.

Edit: The only reason they let them is because the Taliban was one of the only groups that actually could win this war.

    Collete [1389080]

Yes beheadings are way better then watching Orange is the new black.

    Capgros [2088627]

One party less that kills is a win, no matter how you look at it, but western people don't even try to understand, doesn't matter if it's a sudden bomb from a drone, or a beheading. Both are horrible ways to kill.

    Collete [1389080]

The killing isnt going to stop .

    Capgros [2088627]

Is that an excuse to go in and join the party?

    Collete [1389080]

The fact that you don't condemn the Taliban says alot for you .
Look at this idiot always putting words into people's mouths. He never said anything and he doesn't need to condemn anything in TC forums so that you can good about yourself and sleep well.

Typical technique you do on all posts in Politics. Derail it. What caliphate are you talking about? ISIS? They are not a caliphate, seems like you dont know the requirements for a Caliphate.

Btw the 'caliphate youre referring to has been exposed to have recieved support from France.

Make that make sense to me.
that is the American way, is it not?

America didn't know what they was doing in Afghanistan, sheeeet, majority of Americans dont even know where Afghanistan is, they would probably say Middle-East.

The Vietnam war was wrong and a failure and so was Afghanistan.

Hoch and Collete are as useless as those soldiers who lost to a bunch of farmer boys. Killing and raping children and women overseas and then coming back to America, to their children as if nothing happened. Keep licking each others asses, you both like to spit shit every time you open your mouths in the forum. Do you guys actually have a life, spending 24/7 on Torn. No wonder you dont know whats going on in the world and believe anything your war mongering governments tell you. 'America the saviour, who love to spread democracy around the world, while looting the country they're bringing democracy to.'

    Collete [1389080]

Thankfully the Taliban are in power and will respect womens rights to education and work and will bring democracy to the country and accept all religions and LGTBQ people.
Not so long ago the West were killing LGBTQ and making it ILLEGAL.

Not to forget you used to burn women at the pyre for being witches. Also didn't the evil muslamics help you out the dark ages? and didn't they contribute hugely to science during their golden ages?

Maybe in 100 years you will be invading countries to protect peado rights, judging by what you most likely endorse being taught to kids in today's primary schools
