Well, Beav... there's already investigations happening about that horrible armed insurrection on Jan 6. All Aunty Nancy wants to do is make sure that horrible orange man never hurts us again with his mean tweets.

There's really only one outside the law enforcement investigations, and it's the select committee. GOP will obviously play games with it as they have the entire time, but they won't be able to a)not name anyone since they'renot even required for quorum, and b)liz cheney has already been nominated to the select committee so they can't even argue it won'tbe bipartisan. . They'll be assisted by the usual pundits who have a pecuniary stake in raising credibility issues, even though they're directly implicated in sacking the Capitol grounds and more generally we'll see a bunch of wailing babies on the GOP try to cry their way out of the results given that the Thompson-Katko deal would've provided republican ability to slowdown or prevent subpoenas and had an end of the year timeline. Now this new approach will potentially drag into midterm season. Folks who get everything off their wishlists and still have something to bitch about are f**king babies plain and simple.

Select committee does raise some issues about the operational issues that went on, which should be the focus given the odd jurisdictional issues in DC.
