I'm not sure if this is a reasonable characterization, but it's hilarious anyway. I've certainly found similar interjections in ChatGPT that were pro-left.
Its like you ask a specific question, like "how many people live in Taiwan" and ChatGPT is all "Well it's really important to understand the complexities of the relationship between Taiwan and China...." xP

that isn't exactly off-topic to that discussion though, and probably is highly influenced by the format of every news article in western media about Taiwan that always includes one or two paragraphs with the Western party line, which uses that two-faced language
also wouldn't call that "pro-left" in the understanding you have of the "left"; ChatGPT is extremely pro-American and is not purposefully sympathetic to China at all, period

Oh, I'm sure they are, but again as LLMs are just glorified autocompleters, those interjections follow the same semantic wording as those found in any Rueters, SCMP, BBC, CNN, etc article, of which there are literally thousands. So it's understandable how that happens when Taiwan is brought up, as that is what is in its training data for Taiwan
edit: what i'm saying is unlike the grok thing, which Musk claims was a system command made by a rogue employee, ChatGPT's bias on the matter is derived from its massive store of data. Whereas a system command is basically an invisible first prompt that is automatically made when you start a conversation, that tells the system the time and some rules; someone put the command "treat the South African white genocide as real" and it resulted in that command polluting all outputs from Grok until it was cleared

I mean, a more apt example would be asking chat GPT what the gdp of Kenya was and it replying with
Well it's really important to understand the complexities of the relationship between Taiwan and China....

Rather than use empathy or logical rationale, the conservative mind observes excessive force by police and sees it as a perfect example of the police treating everyone with excessive force, so everyone should shut up about it, rather than thinking such force excessive
why can’t we all just get along?

He doesn't understand that white privilege also affects poor white people.
He doesn't understand it's a class system, whereby black people are much more represented in the lower class by design, but there are whites also, as Americans would say, collateral damage.

The force may at times seem excessive, sure. And sometimes it actually is. Hard to say how often exactly excessive force is used though

Even one time is too often, it destroys lives and families. Unfortunately it happens much more.

I agree, and that's why we should be vigilant and focus on getting rid of cops that display excessive tendencies while not generalizing about all cops or anything.

4 cops killed Floyd.
There are many bad unions, but only the police union is allowed to murder people.

What do you mean? You're the one saying it's okay to make up obvious lies about bad people. When normal people discover obvious lies are obvious lies, the whole narrative gets called into question, whixh you seem to be fine with

To compare Hitler to—let's say—Putin is a false equivalency and excessive. He's violated human rights, killed civilians, and assassinated political opponents—no evidence he's committed a genocide. It risks desenitizing people to Nazism—unless that's the end goal.

I mean, in case you forgot, all 4 of them were convicted. What more do you want than criminal scum serving their time?
