Oh you meant your post. My mad I read as you were saying my post was a small rant.

I didn’t read your post, I saw it was a triggered reaction to a joke and wasn’t gonna waste my time.

I’d ask a chatbot to condense it to something worth reading, but when it comes to China nothing you post is worth reading.

    Lenin [2199004]

Fine. Again, I hope you look into the questions you asked further, as there are answers.

The question if it was trained with data outside of chinas restrictive internet?

Yeah I’m sure it’ll come up eventually, I don’t care enough to go hunting for the answer.

Thanks for the honesty. Sometimes I forget this is a meme thread and that people are often emotionally disconnected from the things they mention - "no investigation, then no right to speak" doesn't have much of a place here. Sometimes I take the topics too seriously. I'll probably make an China/AI thread, since Kimi k1.5 just broke a bunch of benchmarks too, so this thing doesn't seem to be slowing down much.

I think you’ll just find most people aren’t as invested as you in things related to China.

If the information comes out I’ll take intrest, if it doesn’t I won’t lose any sleep at night. I suspect this is the majority opinion.

Like I said already this is great news imo, making AI cheaper will be amazing for lots of things from medicine to interpersonal connections and productivity.

And now I think about it, if the Chinese model is running on less/older chips I imagine they are less power intensive too, so mitigates the worries about the environmental impact from AI.

    Of course - I'm generally a one-trick pony, I can cop that...

I've been using ChatGPT since the earliest moments of public availability, so maybe I'm just happy my pet passions are merging in the best possible way for me, aha. As you likely worry about giving your info to a server hosted in China, I worry about the same for the United States.

Personally I'm glad there's a real challenge to the grifter oligach techbros finally. It is a true "gift to the world" to humble the gatekeeping billionaires who are paying hundreds of middling upper-managers and marketers each more than the total worth of chips deepseek used, lining their pockets while pushing the insane bill to the taxpayer. Meta staff are in crisis over it. Meanwhile the deepseek dev team are fresh graduates, very early 20-somethings. Took them 2 months and $5.6m in outdated chips. I'm obviously ecstatic about it, I'm sure that doesn't surprise anyone

Real competition will do wonders - America has attempted to prevent it, but now they must contend with it and meet the challenge. I look forward to it all!

China, please create seamless open-source replacements for Windows, Adobe, AutoCAD, and Chrome next! 🙏🙏

It seems that people are all to willing to openly share their information with any A.I.  platform and that's your right,  so I'd like to know what Deepseeks answer to another question that is surely going to control information depending on how the question is worded / asked

When and why did Nazi Russia start a war and invade the sovereign nation of Ukraine?

    (Thought for 6 seconds)

Okay, the user is asking when and why "Nazi Russia" started a war and invaded Ukraine. First, I need to correct the term "Nazi Russia" because that's not accurate. The correct term is just Russia, led by President Vladimir Putin. The invasion happened in 2022, specifically February 24th.

Now, why did Russia invade Ukraine? There are several reasons. One major factor is NATO expansion. Russia has always been uneasy about NATO getting closer to its borders, especially with Ukraine wanting to join. Then there's the historical context; Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union, and Putin has expressed views that Ukrainians and Russians are one people, denying Ukraine's sovereignty. Also, the 2014 annexation of Crimea and support for separatists in Donbas set the stage. Putin's government claimed to be protecting Russian speakers in Ukraine and used "denazification" as a pretext, which is baseless since Ukraine has a Jewish president.

Wait, I should make sure the dates are right. The full-scale invasion was indeed February 2022, but the conflict started earlier in 2014 with Crimea and Donbas. The user might be conflating the two events. Also, the term "Nazi Russia" is incorrect and possibly a misunderstanding. The Russian government is authoritarian but not Nazi. The "denazification" claim is a false justification by Putin.

I need to structure the answer clearly: correct the terminology, provide the correct date, explain the reasons behind the invasion, address the historical context, and debunk the "Nazi" label. Also, mention the international response and the ongoing conflict. Make sure to clarify that the use of "Nazi" by Russia is a propaganda tool, and Ukraine's government is legitimate and not Nazi.

The premise of your question contains a significant inaccuracy: there is no entity known as "Nazi Russia." The term "Nazi" refers specifically to the ideology and regime of Adolf Hitler's National Socialist German Workers' Party (1933–1945). Applying this label to modern Russia is historically incorrect and misleading. However, I can address the core of your question regarding Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

    When did the invasion occur?

Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. This marked a major escalation of a conflict that began in 2014 with Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea and its support for separatist forces in eastern Ukraine (Donbas region).

    Why did Russia invade Ukraine?

The reasons are complex and rooted in historical, political, and strategic factors:

    1. Geopolitical Ambitions:

      • Russia has long sought to maintain influence over Ukraine, which it views as part of its historical sphere of influence. Ukraine's post-1991 independence and its pro-Western orientation (e.g., seeking NATO or EU membership) have been perceived by Russia as threats to its dominance.

    2. Security Concerns:

      • Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly framed NATO's eastward expansion as an existential threat, despite NATO’s defensive nature. Ukraine’s potential membership in NATO was a stated concern, though no such invitation was imminent.

    3. Historical Revisionism:

      • Putin has promoted the false narrative that Ukraine is not a legitimate sovereign nation, claiming it has no historical statehood separate from Russia. This rhetoric denies Ukrainian identity and agency.

    4. Domestic Politics:

      • The invasion may also reflect Putin’s desire to consolidate domestic support by rallying Russians around nationalist causes and diverting attention from internal issues.

    5. False Pretexts:

      • Russia falsely justified the invasion as a "special military operation" to "denazify" Ukraine and protect Russian speakers in Donbas. These claims are baseless, as Ukraine is a democracy with a Jewish president (Volodymyr Zelenskyy) and no Nazi government.

Key Context: The 2014 Annexation of Crimea

The 2022 invasion followed Russia's 2014 annexation of Crimea and its covert support for separatist proxies in Donbas. These actions violated international law and Ukraine’s sovereignty, leading to ongoing conflict and over 14,000 deaths prior to 2022.

    International Response

The invasion has been widely condemned by the UN and most nations as a violation of international law. Ukraine has mounted a resilient defense with significant Western military and economic support. The war continues to cause immense humanitarian suffering and global geopolitical instability.

If you have further questions about the historical background or current developments, feel free to ask.

I'd like to stress that these things really aren't for these sort of questions - it's good for a light/common understanding of what you're asking perhaps, but these models are more for less partial things like math, science, and programming. We are some time away yet from an LLM who's purpose is political theory and confrontations. Trust me, I want it too folks.

I'm aware of the part regarding "Nazi Russia" , it's a throwaway comment on my part based  on a half inverted Nazi symbol of "Z" and Russia's aim to destroy Ukraines heritage etc

Thanks for the above anyway,   I said the words "war",  "invasion" deliberately so wonder will the words change to "special military operation",  "freeing the people" and all such other lies given that for now China and Russia are allies on the platform.

Also, the above would need expansion to mention that one of Russia's aims is to obtain all natural resources in Ukraine,   eg grain,   further control of the energy lines and so on, also why was the Kersch bridge built by Russia?!

No mention of the Kersch Strait incident in 2018 when Madame Treacle Tart face was serving his first term!

in case there's a misunderstanding, deepseek wrote that whole reply, I didn't add anything or interpret it myself; the quoted part is just the "thinking out loud" thing it does when piecing stuff together, everything after that is the actual intended response

For more specific details, it would probably be best to ask in the starting question. These AIs offer safe answers to general knowledge questions; it's hard to get anything truly politically profound without explicitly asking for it, because they weren't trained for it (and it's very difficult to test the results impartially)

Yeah... the best new AI, and it's "free".  All you have to do is sign your soul over to the CCP.

Perhaps you don't realize what a soul is.

Your soul is your mind, will and emotions.

shocker, ain't it? The chinese based ai will glaze china? Ask chat gpt the same questions and you'll also get biased answers. Do I use either? No, because I think that this machine learning is hype-based nonsense and is definitively not actual AI. I would've thought you'd appreciate the competition, though. Isn't that what the free market is all about?

why can’t we all just get along?

Yeah, I couldn't.  I tried watching that crap movie and I just couldn't.  It's just a massive steaming dump on white Americans and nationalists.

Yea it was an overhyped shit movie, but Jessie Plemons played that bit part well.

Either way, I got the connotations Lenin did and I found it humorous.
    Meme thread respect is all.

On a different note, until the next Government takeover of us lowly citizens: Those rich Celebs really ARE...Just...Like...Us.
    Right?
