Mayorkas was impeached this year (the first time in almost 150 years) due to his dereliction of duty but the Democratic majority is what kept the Senate from actually charging him. When you're in charge of something and you're doing a poor job of it, you should be held responsible.

See, in the private sector, accountability starts at the top. If a department isn't running well, they look at the leadership first. If they're not up to par, they get replaced. The government doesn't operate like that - they find reasons to blame everyone else for their shortcomings and let the weak leaders stay in power.
