    What lie?

The one where he said the illegals are going around stealing your cats and dogs eating them.... that's the lie he told.   Just because J D Vance says it is true. it is not.

    SeanTheplug [3267473]

I agree that was a ridiculous statement and he shouldn't have said it unless he has proof of it. I wouldn't consider it a lie but moreso Trump being misinformed and repeating something that he shouldn't have. I wouldn't be surprised if a Haitian immigrant did do that though, I mean the cannibal gangs in Haiti are eating people what's to stop them from eating a cat lol. Don't get me wrong, I do think there are well meaning Haitian immigrants but the cannibalistic Haitians that are controlling Haiti rn are giving them all a bad name

Do you think that maybe once a Haitian gets off the plane in America they go "oh, the shops are full of chicken and pork and beef. I no longer have to eat f**king cat?"

Is is just possible we've reduced the people of Haiti (a country that has had more than its fair share of natural and political disasters) to a bunch of bone-in-the-nose, spear chucking savages?

    Oh and one other thing:

    I wouldn't consider it a lie

    It was a lie.

Probably not. It’s apparently a cultural dish connected to some holiday for some Haitians. And why wouldn’t they bring their cultural and family traditions with them? I’m sure if we let you into the US you’d bring your cultural and family traditions.

Seems like it is you who are connecting eating cat to “a bunch of bone in the nose spear chucking savages”.

You guys are entirely too consumed (pun intended) in dictating what other people eat.  Your stance should be ambivalence to other peoples food choices, at which point Trumps stupid comment would fall flat on its face. You personally, and others like you, are where his stupid comment gains its mobility. You’re the amplifier to his microphone. If you’re choosing to amplify his hate speech, it isn’t because you care about the targets.. that doesn’t help them. It’s because you’re willing to sacrifice the targets to get at Trump. Your priorities are a mess.

Reveyon. Now stop shitting on peoples culture and leave them alone. Stop amplifying trumps blowhard voice with your own blowhard voice.

Eating cat meat is not a daily or nationwide practice in Haiti. However, some Haitians eat cats on December 24th in a national festivity called "Reveyon", a big Christmas party.

This is exclusively known to a select group of Haitians found mostly in countryside villages.

    Why do Haitians eat cats?

Contrary to popular belief, Haitians don't eat cats because they are poor and hungry. They eat cats because it's a tradition.

Eating cats in Haiti is not a new habit but an old tradition that started in slavery.

For instance, runaway slaves hunted, killed, and ate wild cats deep in Haiti's forest and treacherous mountains many years before Haiti became a nation.

So the practice of eating cats is just as old as Haiti herself.

Do you think that maybe once a Haitian gets off the plane in America they go "oh, the shops are full of chicken and pork and beef. I no longer have to eat f**king cat?"

    ElHeffe [2564022]

Yeah, but don't forget you are f**king lying.

Name the cat eating holiday that you so confidently pronounce. Go on. f**king name it. You f**king liar.

Cool, so you agree that Haitians, a very specific group, has a tradition of eating cats.

But not in september, and you can't say that that group is here in the states.

And other cultures eat animals that american's consider pets, just like we eat things that other cultures considers of greater importance.

None of that has to do with the crazy shit, that still has no evidence of happening, of haitians going around and killing cats and dogs especially "en masse".
