The Premier League finally punishing the dirty rotten rule breakers (who can't afford to pay backhanders).

City have to be penalised hugely with the breaches they're known to have made. I don't think they will go back and change previous season results as its too tricky to do, but they do need to be hit hard, and not just with a fine that they don't care about paying.

City have breached FFP rules over 100 times. As punishment, they should be kicked into the Scottish Premier League.

They will charge Tottenham over something 14 years ago before they do anything about City.

Glad to see something like this finally happen over FFP matters, but let's be honest, Everton are hardly the club they need to be going after, and if neither Chelsea or Man City cop something huge, it's still a shitshow.

Saying that, City case, with their resources and the number of issues, maybe we'll see a resolution by 2033.

just listening to the details of this, all centers around a jermane defoe transfer and unlicensed agents. other clubs that were found guilty around the same time were given 10 point fines

Chelsea have been penalised before, but not on the issue for the most recent documents. That's kind of like saying someone shouldn't be penalised for a murder they have been imprisoned for because they have previously been penalised for a ****. If there is something to them, the recent revelations about Chelsea will be far worse than the transfer ban they previously received.

If I'm remembering right, City were punished one year by UEFA - they had their number of eligible players reduced from 25 to 21. The year previous they only used 21 out of 25 of registered players, but the punishment was just and fair...

I found this article. It was basically a slap on the wrist that UEFA kissed better. My favourite part:

"If they comply with those conditions, they will get back €40m of the €60m fine, which will be deducted from their Uefa prize money over the next three years."

From this you can infer that UEFA did everything in their power to keep Citeh in the Champs League (for at least three years), otherwise they'd be unable to pay the fines.

Man City where punished once by UEFA and it was nowhere near enough .....

Man City are cheating the fair play rules. FACT and literally nothing is being done about it

Man City literally have 2 teams of highly paid players dont they? That isnt being fair financially, they are being pumped up by the oil money.

Forum signatures make my eyes hurt so i have turned them off.

Yes I remember this. This was hardly a penalty. They were still allowed to do transfers. Chelsea, Barca and etc for example weren't allowed to do transfers when penalized. It wasn't even over FFP. Which imo is just an arbitrary joke.

I personally don't care about the order of punishment, as long as the people who need it get punished.

I'm not gonna let a murderer walk the street when they've done time for a previous **** just cos there is another murderer who hasn't been punished yet. That's a stupid line of thought.

I agree minus the Chelsea part. Chelsea has been penalized already before. I wanna see City burn

You got me wrong. All I'm saying, is that City has never been penalized. I want to see them punished before any other club gets penalized.

I personally don't care about the order of punishment, as long as the people who need it get punished.

I'm not gonna let a murderer walk the street when they've done time for a previous **** just cos there is another murderer who hasn't been punished yet. That's a stupid line of thought.
You keep saying the same thing. I got you the first time. There's nothing stupid about wanting a club to be punished which hasn't been punished before for outrageously breaching the rules.
