They will charge Tottenham over something 14 years ago before they do anything about City.

Glad to see something like this finally happen over FFP matters, but let's be honest, Everton are hardly the club they need to be going after, and if neither Chelsea or Man City cop something huge, it's still a shitshow.

Saying that, City case, with their resources and the number of issues, maybe we'll see a resolution by 2033.

    2824277 [2824277]

I agree minus the Chelsea part. Chelsea has been penalized already before. I wanna see City burn

    Carso87 [2647874]

Chelsea have been penalised before, but not on the issue for the most recent documents. That's kind of like saying someone shouldn't be penalised for a murder they have been imprisoned for because they have previously been penalised for a ****. If there is something to them, the recent revelations about Chelsea will be far worse than the transfer ban they previously received.

    2824277 [2824277]

You got me wrong. All I'm saying, is that City has never been penalized. I want to see them punished before any other club gets penalized.

    Carso87 [2647874]

I personally don't care about the order of punishment, as long as the people who need it get punished.

I'm not gonna let a murderer walk the street when they've done time for a previous **** just cos there is another murderer who hasn't been punished yet. That's a stupid line of thought.

    2824277 [2824277]

You keep saying the same thing. I got you the first time. There's nothing stupid about wanting a club to be punished which hasn't been punished before for outrageously breaching the rules.
    No, there really is.

Both clubs have breached the rules, Chelsea potentially in a worse fashion (may or may not be in a worse manner).

    Both need to be charged.

I don't care when, in what order, but both need to be charged.

Just because you support a team, doesn't mean they shouldn't be charged.

There's really no need to get that worked up. Clearly what I said "I agree minus the Chelsea part" was a joke. Every club deserves to get penalized for breaching the rules. Saying Chelsea breached it in a worse fashion is a joke. All I'm saying is that before clubs like Everton, Tottenham or anybody else gets penalized, it should be Man City. They're always protected. Just like the last time when their penalty got lowered.

    'Worked up' lol.

There is a reason City will take a while to resolve. Given the sheer number of charges, and the likely severity of the punishment, there are a lot of i's to dot and t's to cross. Even aside from that, their charges are more down to fraudulent reporting/activity, as opposed to 'Your accounts specifically show you messed up' in the case of Everton which is pretty cut and dry.

As far as if the Chelsea breaches are 'worse' than City or not, I guess that's a matter of opinion, but in my opinion, if the Cyprus leaks hold any weight, what Chelsea have done is worse than City. As I say, that's in my opinion, and by no means a statement of fact.

I'll say the same like I did last year: I really hate when big clubs relegate. I'd really not want Everton to relegate, but with the constant battle against relegation and this ban handed to them, it's gonna be hard for them.

Nah, Everton are safe even with a 10 point deduction.

We have a pretty clear bottom 3 this year, maybe bottom 4 if you include Bournemouth. Everton are far more than 10 points better than any of them over a whole season.

I don't expect/hope it myself. I said hard, because a club in turmoil will always also affect the performance on the pitch. But yeah they definitely had built a margin before those 10pts deduction. We'll have to see how the team holds up the rest of the season. They still need to play Tottenham and City twice

Everton are doomed to go down now. They was always going to struggle to stay up even with no points deduction.

Something is badly broken at Everton. Money has been spent but it hasnt been spent well.

It's definitely gonna be hard, but I hope they'll manage to just about evade it. And yeah, lots of money for, but no solid structure and no mission/view will get you nowhere. Look at Chelsea right now.

If I look around I think he was the best owner to ever buy a club. Maybe Berlusconi was a good second. Abramovic had a good vision and a great extensive staff that understood their task. Boehly is a disaster.

Depends on if running the club legally is important to you or not.

But, as far as bringing the players in, setting the club up properly, he was a decent owner. Made questionable decisions around the manager position a few times, but there was always a reason.

Yeah, this is the sort of result that isn't entirely unexpected and is why I think the Toffees will be fine, even with a points deduction.

I expected Everton to be shite going into the season. I still don't think you're good consistently, but you're enough better than the bottom 4 that I doubt you'll be in the relegation conversation even at -10 handicap.
