MLB - Atlanta Braves
Jeff Blauser and Chipper Jones fan
NFL - Tennessee Titans
Moon and Eddie George fan
NBA - Indiana Pacers
Reggie Miller and small market team
MLS - Columbus Crew
Closest pro sports team to me
NHL - Don't really watch enough to have a favorite.
What is everyone's favourite sports team and why?

I go by nearest major city so for me it's the toronto maple leafs for hockey, blue jays for baseball and the argonauts for football.
post yours down below :) -

Gotta root for the hometown teams!
MLB - San Francisco Giants (though I will cheer on the Oakland A’s if needed.)
NBA - Golden State Warriors
NFL - San Francisco 49ers (never rooted for the Raiders when they were across the Bay. Good riddance! :P )
NHL - San Jose Sharks (I don’t watch hockey often, but when I do, these are the guys I root for) -

It was a big factor when I was younger. And I just ended up sticking with them.
I have no hometown teams. -

It’s definitely tougher the older I get to be fully invested in a single team.
Having grown up in the early 70s, everyone was either a Washington Redskins fan (local) or a Dallas Cowboys fan, and I just wasn’t a fan of either. In 1972 Sunoco gas stations gave out books into which we would paste individual player ‘icon’ stickers.
I filled up Minnesota Vikings page first by chance and it was definitely fun to watch Alan Page and Jim Marshall swallow up opposing backs. The Purple People Eaters were just formidable enough to lose 3 Super Bowls
Fast forward to a franchise decimating trade for Herschel Walker which fueled a few championships for Dallas and the desire to be a big fan is gone.
It’s still about individual players for me -

AFL : Hawthorn Hawks
( Couple of reasons, one is my Father, he followed them.. Second Dermot Brereton, he was my favourite player, skillful, tough and had swag)
NRL : Gold Coast Titans
(My family originated from the upper north coast of NSW)
EPL : West Ham United
(Bit of a story : I was 15 and full of testosterone and heard this band from England called Iron Maiden.. I saw a picture of them on stage with a Union Jack with WEST HAM stitched on the front, I was like WTF is a WEST HAM? did some research and now it's almost 30 years later.. must be love)
UP THE IRONS!! -

College Football(NCAA): Auburn Tigers - Grew up in an Alabama dominated family and teen rebellion.
NBA: Memphis Grizzlies - I'm a three time cancer survivor(14-16), 15(16 this September) Years in remission, I got tickets to watch the Grizzlies while I was staying in between treatments.
MLB: Atlanta Braves - Grew up in the deep south(Mobile) and the Braves was one of the top teams there. -

NHL: Dallas stars. I basically lived inside of NHL 2002 as a kid and played every subsequent version of it until EA stopped releasing it on pc (2009). I picked Dallas because of their jersey colours and because their main man, Mike Modano, was wearing a no. 9 (I was born on the 9th and it's my favorite number). Back then I didn't speak much English and didn't know how to change the setting of the game that makes you play only with your 1st line. Modano, Hull, Hatcher, Zubov and Belfour became my absolute legends of my childhood. I never really liked Morrow (sorry bro) and when I learned how to change the settings, I quickly swapped him out for Lehtinen (I found the way the commentators pronounce his name in the game really funny). I used to know the names of basically every single NHL player since around 2004 all the way to around 2009. I lost interest afterwards (didn't like the new generation of the players) and moved to football.

A lot of my favorites are based on current proximity... and partly on the teams Mr. Kajal grew up liking, because I grew up in college-sports-only country
Basketball - Atlanta Hawks - so excited for the Dejounte Murray-Trae Young dynamic duo
Football - Tennessee Titans, except I still resent Ryan Tannehill for last year, and also for tying up the money they could have spent on not losing AJ Brown to the Eagles
Soccer - the first summer I spent in Berlin was the summer Germany hosted the World Cup, and it was positively magical, so, the German national team.
Baseball - I have never really cared about baseball
and when I came back to visit my parents while living in Germany, my dad would make fun of me for watching soccer
and he would go "all they do is just run around the whole time"
and I'd go "all baseball players do is just stand there"
and he'd go "there are people in that soccer stadium that have gotten married, had children and gotten divorced all in the first half"
and I'd go "you went to a double header yesterday and you were gone for thirteen hours"
and he'd go "the life expectancy of that country is 75 so if you're older than 73 they don't let you into the game"
and I'd go "we'll agree to disagree"
and he'd go "that ronaldo really is pretty amazing though"
and then I'd obviously have to change the subject
...but i guess the Braves -

Football - I was born in Manchester and supported Man Utd as a kid. However, I moved to Huddersfield in my teens and went to Huddersfield Town matches with pals. They're still my team. I've lived in Edinburgh for the last 17 years though and go to watch Hibernian a few times a season.
Cricket - England and Lancashire. Thank you to my wonderful granddad for educating me in the ways of this sport. -

I haven't watched basketball since the 90's but I was a Jordan fan (who wasn't) so I liked the bulls. I love hockey but haven't really followed it lately but I always liked the Pittsburgh penguins (because of lemieux) and the Chicago Blackhawks.

Rugby - All Blacks
I'm from NZ and played rugby for schools since I was like 9 yrs old till 17, wasn't any good on offense even tho I was a big dude, but on defense I was a menace and could tackle anybody we faced, pretty sure all kiwis have a passion for rugby so supporting All Black's is pretty much a given, it helps that they are the best team too, best winning record over more than a 100year period, won the honors of being the Greatest team of all time in all sports as well :)
NFL - Not really a fan of any team as I rarely watch but I do like certain players like Stafford and Burrows in particular.. Best moment for me was Stafford winning his 1st Superbowl in 1st season outside of being a Lions player, my other best moment was definitely Philly beating Bradys patriots to win Superbowl with a backup qb Nick Foles, that game was insane -
