So the knives are out for olly already, due to the linguard fook up and losing to young boys, some people are saying he isn't up to the job.

He cannot say he hasn't been given the backing of the board.

Do you think his job is in danger if he doesn't win anything this season? Or is it still part of the plan.

It's a funny old game, football. One bad day at the office and your job is on the line.

I don't think the knives will be out for long. I'd be surprised if United don't make it through the groups. As for winning anything this season, we'll have to see what the Ronaldo effect does for the team.

If things are looking a bit shaky come Christmas, I expect Ole will go all out for the FA Cup, but I honestly don't see it coming to that.

Phil the Tipster recommends putting your money on a heavy United win against West Ham. They have a point to prove now so as to keep the critics in their box. And if they want to get rid of Lingard, send him to the blue part of Merseyside. We'd take him in a heartbeat.

The manager of course is not good enough to manage Man Utd. Whether that means he is going to get sacked anytime soon is a entirely different matter.

If he gets enough help from his coaching team that will paper up the cracks.

Signing Ronaldo of course is massive. His presence alone will get things going for Man Utd. A star player can do a LOT to paper over any cracks. Ronaldo has hit the ground running. He is still one of the best despite his age. He is still so good he will be the best player for ANY team in the world.

Ronaldos presence will be a big motivation for the other players in the Man Utd dressing room. They will all up their game.

Forum signatures make my eyes hurt so i have turned them off.

I agree with everything you said 100%

    BUT

in your opinion will they win anything this season? I love ollie but as a manager of one of the best teams in the world his inexperience and lack of tactical awareness is going to be a huge barrier.

On a side note, how ironic lingard comes on as a sub and scores the winner. I told my hammers supporting bro before the game. He wasn't happy at all

Phil the Tipster has been sacked after his last prediction. If two of the penalties had been given, things might have been different. As it stands though, he'll be signing on this week.

No Man Utd wont win anything this season. If Ronaldo stays fit for the whole season they will be contenders for the league. But i think Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea are far more likely to win the league than Man Utd. Yes im saying i think Man Utd will finish 4th. Thats if everything goes well. Tottenham and Leicester and maybe Everton could finish higher than them. But it think Man Utd will be 4th.
