    Mudbottom [1879891]

Not a dystopian setting, but Se7en has a good mindf**k climax.
Se7en is a great film as i have said many times on these forums. Yes it does fall into the category of mindf**k films which the OP wants to see.

It is easily Brad Pitts best film. Its probably the film he will be remembered for after hes gone.

Some of Brads films are big misses. Se7en hit in square in the bullseye a great film on so many levels!

He does have a bit of a sketchy career. Some of his films are unremarkable even dull. I think at times he just appears in a film to get his big pay cheque.

Se7en is one of the best films of the 20th century. Brad has been in a lot of very good films. I think se7en is his best film.

He has of course starred in many great films, i think he is a bit unappreciated because occassionaly he does appear in average films.

Forum signatures make my eyes hurt so i have turned them off.

    Arlington Road

    Twelve Monkeys

Cube (the original, accept no substitutes)

Jackie Brown - just plain fun

Showing my age here, although there have been some fantastic recent movies, I believe that the 90s was a golden age for Hollywood, before over-reliance on CGI special effects (and what seems to be a current trend for frequent and confusing timeline switches).

EDIT - as crossposted with dunmugmeh - I did an R+ on Se7en and will add that I believe that just about anything with Brad Pitt is worth a look: his good looks mean that he is under-rated as a fantastic character actor, he's been in SO many different genres.

So I am gonna add another old one I've seen with him in it - Sleepers

I watched ‘Platform’’ a few weeks ago. It’s on Netflix and was really good. It’s kind of like a psychological mind game film. It is dubbed from a different language to English but honestly the way it’s done is great.

    Worth a watch!

oh well I only read the first page of this and realised it’s already been said :P AND was the one you wanted us to guess the name of. Hahaha....! Once again, fantastic film and well done.

Maybe I'm a biased 90s baby, but I completely agree with you. Also props for mentioning cube!

A Scanner Darkly is pretty weird and pretty good, cool animations too
Waking Life is trippy and really philosophical, has similar animation to A Scanner Darkly

    I like equlibrium.

I think Christian Bale is a very under appreciated actor. Its a great film and you do need to watch it if you havent. A good solid sci fi film in the mind f**k category! It is very engaging.

Memento is one of the best mindf**k movies in my list. Had to watch it three times to get it (maybe).
Thing is, by how it’s narrated it compels you to experience the same kind of brain-damage the main character has. Can’t say more than this.

Zombie films are a great genre of films if you can get into them.

There are a lot of B movies or worse there of course. But they are a great genre for
    mindf**k films.

There are so many good ones i cant really list them all. There really are so many good zombie films.

Its very very hard picking the best mindf**k zombie film but i will try really hard

Pontypool. Thats a good mindf**k film. But there are so many many many more in the zombie genre.
