The film with most watchability for me is Blues Brothers.
But my fave film of all time is Tarkovsky's Stalker

    Aliens.

Watch the directors cut. It actually adds more to the film unlike many directors cuts.

It is a highly influential film. I see its influence in many games and many films.
great movie, definitely influential, probably not as influential as Alien, lol, but come on bill paxton, so good, they mostly come at night mostly

Arise, oh are we being serious? Id probably have to go with something like Full Metal Jacket by Stanley Kubrick or The Fountain by Darren Aronofsky, radically different movies, both of extreme quality

For me i will always remember Bill as Hudson.

    Its such a great film.

When i was a kid EVERY weekend i would rent aliens from the video store Its a film i grew up with and is still the best film i have seen in my opinion.

Video stores where great, many young people now have never had the experience which is sad.

It is progress, all online now or ordering it on demand from your tv box.

    I miss video stores

Best movie of all time, in my world. In my reality. In my perspective.

    The fifth element

    I know I can (I know I can)
Be what I wanna be (be what I wanna be)
If I work hard at it (If I work hard it)
I'll be where I wanna be (I'll be where I wanna be)

A lot of great films where made in the 1990s as ive said elsewhere in these forums.

The fifth element is one of them.

Definitely one of my favourites along with the original Alien. Shame they lowered the bar from Aliens 3 onwards

Good Will Hunting will always be up there for me, another would be The Big Short - Guess its the dialogue I enjoy most with these movies

Was touched by Bohemian Rhapsody and recently watched The Gentleman which I rate along with Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

Sicario movies were pretty sick. The only series ever where the sequel was better than the first movie.

Snyder Cut is best in recent memory. Probably not best of the best and it is admittedly flawed in some aspects but given the journey of the film and the resurrection of one filmmaker's vision, the story around its production is a TRUE Hollywood story in and of itself. Flash saves the world is best visual but Cyborg has the best arc :D

What kind of crazy talk is this?

No one mention proper Star Wars and this thread is not locked for trolling?

    For shame...

    Samorost [1655145]

    BladeRunner

    dunmugmeh [538353]

Bladerunner is a great film. A classic.

Harrison Fords best film and he has been in a lot of great films.

I actually liked the follow up as well but i did get the feeling he was being 'wheel chaired out' to perform in it. Same with the star wars film he was in in recent years.

The follow up is a good solid sci fi film.

    The original is a classic.

    Samorost [1655145]

Blade Runner is something I could watch on repeat and still feel that interest and excitement of watching it for the first time.

I liked the way the sequel opened up the world and tied up some loose ends, but I did feel that Ford seemed rather jaded in it.
I love Blade Runner, but having watched it what must be over 50 times in nearly 40 years, I do wonder what Deckard actually did. Everything that happened in the film had the same outcome at the end. Ok, it wouldn't have been as much fun, but it was the same net result.

I can't do a best film of all time. I can manage a top 10 just about, but it changes regularly:

    In no particular order:

    1. Jaws
    2. Raiders of The Lost Ark
    3. North By Northwest
    4. Lawrence of Arabia
    5. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
    6. Empire Strikes Back
    7. The Matrix
    8. Back To The Future
    9. Ghostbusters
    10. Predator

Also rans: Rocky 3, Commando, Naked Gun, Aliens, The Godfather, Batman Begins
