Complete lack of meme skills, so you'll just have to imagine:

Standard image, of person behind desk, sign reads "Shiny is the best song in Moana. Change my mind" :)

In my opinion Lord of the Rings. Tolkien was a genius. He didn’t just create a fantasy world, he created a fantasy world of in-depth, vibrant layers with its own history, languages, poetry, songs, maps and zoology.
Then finally someone put it to film and they didn’t disappoint. That was an accomplishment.

LOTR was indeed a great movie cycle and Jackson brought it to the screen about as well as could be expected within the constraints of the economics of cinema and current technology. Tolkien purists understood the Eldar's extra spark of divinity would not be fully realized within live-action, and it would not be realistic to fault Jackson's cinematization for its inability to capture this or the good Professor's meticulously crafted, brilliantly realized, elegiac passage of the Eldar from Middle-earth.

Great list and I'm familiar with most of the films you mention, which helps.

Small quibble. Spartacus starred Kirk Douglas.

    Problem is this...

Three quarters of the entire story is the fellowship walking...

Walking with the ring through hellish lands...

    Just walking. Again and again...

But... THEY HAD f**kING EAGLES THAT COULD HAVE FLOWN THEM THERE. f**kING EAGLES...

    Just saying...

I will never lie to you. What I say is how I feel...

If you're tired of formulaic Hollywood movies, try the Criterion collection - especially its older offerings.

'Criterion is for cinephiles, and includes good American movies, as well as even better movies from around the world.

    A few of my favourites:

    Aguirre, Wrath of God (Herzog)
Swept Away (Wertmuller, not the whore-trash re-make)
    Seventh Seal (Bergman)

etc...too many great films to remember.
