The Snyder Cut was incredible, but it should have ended when the film ended and not dragged on for 40 minutes of random outtakes and Jared f**king Leto.

Yeah, Jared Leto was purely fan service. However, given that the director knew he was, probably, never gonna get another shot at a DC film he threw in everything he wanted to throw in. While normally you couldn't do this in theaters you could do it on HBO Max. I like some of the epilogue stuff but end it right before the Knightmare for me which only shaves off less than 10 minutes? Otherwise, the film is surprisingly better paced than one would expect.

Glad to see you back but Spaceballs was way more epic than Star Wars. Now had you said Return of the Jedi than maybe I’d think otherwise.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
I like good, intelligent dialog in movies so Clerks gets a strong nod. But Fear and Loathing encompasses the true "American dream".
This is bat country.Last edited by Zymurgist on 14:05:08 - 12/04/21 -

There was a video store called Sun Video or something like that in a nearby mall. They had everything. Stuff you thought you would never find. And if they didn't have what you wanted, they would do their best to find it and order it for you.
I miss that video store. It was like going to Street Light Records and going through the used records and finding a gem.I'm Sorry

A lot of great movies on this thread (and some I've never heard of or seen)
One of my all time favourites is still Forrest Gump. I also love how after being screwed out of royalties the author wrote the second Forrest Gump book (with so much crazy messed up content that they would never be able to film a sequel) and effectively forced them into buying it.
I also really liked American Ultra. -

If you're tired of formulaic Hollywood movies, try the Criterion collection - especially its older offerings.
'Criterion is for cinephiles, and includes good American movies, as well as even better movies from around the world.
A few of my favourites:
Aguirre, Wrath of God (Herzog)
Swept Away (Wertmuller, not the whore-trash re-make)
Seventh Seal (Bergman)
etc...too many great films to remember.

I got a double vinyl album for Rocky Horror Picture Show with audience participation when I was 13 y/o, played it to death, lol...
Has the words on the album sleeves so you know when to join in, can't watch it now without saying a couple out loud... -
