Wow that episode was for me definitely my favourite of the series so far. The pace was perfect but i do wish it was like an hour episode not 36 mins lol. It would've been great to explore the story of the natives and the pirates a little more. And imperial camaraderie in light of the pirates on a secret mining base. Bill Burr is a perfect cast for this character. I hope he gets more opportunities to play this kind of character, i'd love to see more of it. The Seismic Charges were a real icing on the cake!

7th episode wasnt all that great tbh.

    Laughingman91 [2044206]

8th episode wasn't all that great tbh.

I had 2 people tell me 8 was the best episode of the season, its so good, etc etc, wait till you see the reveal

    NOTHING HAPPENED

There was no twist, the whole thing of rescuing baby yoda went exactly as planned. There was no risk at any time, there was no tension at any stage cos you know "this is the episode when baby yoda is rescued". It never at any point felt like the good guys could lose lol, maximum plot armour plus extra.

Not forgetting the exaggerated girl power like a big F- YOU to all the fans who complained at anita sarkesian after s01e01 - when she complained there were no women with speaking lines lol. Idk man it really grinds my gears to see it so forced, it doesn't seem natural at all like it's just done that way to make certain crowds happy instead of for lore or plot purposes or anything else. It totally makes sense the way the 4 characters were introduced leading up to this episode as key players. I can't say "there was no reason except real world social justice" for those characters to fill the roles in the finale. And replacing the big muscle with robots VS mandos literal physical plot armour. He's a friggin mary sue.

I was like barely paying attention waiting for something exciting to happen.
    Ep 7 was much better.

    Dracarys [2616230]

    Dude lemme tell you this.

I predict you are a The Last of Us Part II hater, and so am I.

But I don't see how there was 'social justice' in this episode.
I don't know anything about the last of us games tbh. The whole episode was a feminists wet dream. Like "Look at us, we can do it too, just like men except better!" #MakeWomenGreatAgain The thing about it for me is when I was a kid pretending to swing a lightsaber around, there'd be a kid saying "girls can't play with lightsabers" since there were no female jedis in the film until like episode 1 - and we never saw them swing a lightsaber lol til episode 3 and even then it was in the background. I thought it was hugely unfair as a kid in terms of representation that boys get lightsabers and girls can do nothing about it. How the turn tables.

Instead anyway what you have here is

Also the dark troopers were soooooooo baddddddd they're so slow and clumsy. Remember general grievous magna guards? They could keep going without a head, since obviously any alien with a head is gonna aim for the head. Dark Troopers v3? Nope, nope, nope.

Doctor Whos Daleks are like equally as goofy and unthreatening but it's an entirely different precedent. Besides that, even on paper Daleks could obliterate dark troopers.

The way they went about it in this episode was all wrong. Suppose you got this extra deadly robot threat. Well no worries, they walk real slow, and the door opens even slower, and is extra strong so that even mega strong robots that can punch in a blast door, struggle to open a sliding door. Friggin ridiculous. Somehow, mando is terrified and loses all his combat prowess to fear. Now this is in canon cos he hates droids, but he relied on pit droids to repair his ship, which is putting his life in their hands. I guess it was shell shock that affected mando maybe trauma from the super battle droids that killed his parents? Seems weird tho doesn't really add up. Anyway, for some reason he tries to flamethrower the robot and use the whistling birds against its meaty fleshy skin, so it can bleed out and die. Except oh wait it's made of metal and armour. Mando is sooooo stupid to even try these. Eventually when he run out of options, he stabs it in the neck and removes its head. Which is also dumb like I already explained.

Also, when luke skywalker arrived they just knew somehow, maybe they sent a robot to the hangar to move the imperial ship so luke could get his X wing in there. There was that dumb pseudo surprise where bo katan can't simply take the darksaber due to honour which moff gideon gets to elaborate. Entirely predictable and impactless though. I dunno. Wasn't impressed at all.

Your opinion is your opinion. I respect it, and I accept it, but I don't agree with it.

Anyway, I have a different view on E08, than you, which is ok.

By the way, The Last of Us 1 is a masterpiece and Part II is the "feminist agenda" you talked about.

The kept on not showing the face and so I was asking myself how bad was the CGI face going to be. And it was awful. It did not look like him much at all. Made him younger looking than he would be and took away his butt chin.
