Well that last episode explained a few things and saved me from wasting my time asking questions on here about the age and timeframe being off. But it works now with the explanation.

I thought those were Dark Troopers when they kind of showed them in the Episode before.

Yeah I think everyone did. I certainly didn't expect robots LOL butttttt we know how much they set up that Mando hates and won't trust droids. So this kinda makes a perfect enemy tbh. And they were called Dark Troopers in the episode, just not the one's we know about from comics and stuff.
When Ahsoka was asking "where is your master, where is grand admiral Thrawn" last ep, I thought this meant he was gonna kidnap baby yoda when he get's stuck on the stone. Being stuck on the stone was soooo obvious lol.
There was a lot of tension when the slow robots were gonna take baby yoda and mando was running too slow up the mountain, really great.
Really really dumb that he never put back on his jetpack he left by the big stone, after it was established that boba and the sniper were allies LOL.
And mando even tried THREE times to push into the force field even when it knocked him out cold lol. Nobody would, even dumb animals are smarter than that!
And, how slow did the Dark Troopers walk LMAO wtf i get that it creates suspense but like. I was expecting the magnadroids from general grievous with superior athletic ability, not these clunky junks lol.
I really didn't expect boba to be honourable at all, kept thinking he was gonna betray mando, and the sniper lady too but they were both good. Her name is apparently FENNEC SHAND but still totally forgettable.
Now I really want Cara Dune, the Marshall from tatooine, Ahsoka, and Greef Karga pays Bo-Katan to help too, and all of the heroes including Fennec Shand and Boba Fett all help storm Moff Gideons Cruiser and take back baby yoda. -

Well I am surprised that they even had dark Troopers. Where they have them exist. Since they are from the Dark Forces game. Where when Disney bought it it was said that a lot of the outer star Wars universe besides just the movies did not exist.
Though maybe the troopers were not finished because they seemed kind of bare. No they had a jet pack. Well in the game the move around and fly around faster. -

Wow that episode was for me definitely my favourite of the series so far. The pace was perfect but i do wish it was like an hour episode not 36 mins lol. It would've been great to explore the story of the natives and the pirates a little more. And imperial camaraderie in light of the pirates on a secret mining base. Bill Burr is a perfect cast for this character. I hope he gets more opportunities to play this kind of character, i'd love to see more of it. The Seismic Charges were a real icing on the cake!

Bill's acting was great. When he was at the drink scene and the imperial officer was talking and being sadistic and also mentioning the new order bill looked so uncomfortable as he has PTSD. Mando also looked so vulnerable without his armour and the face reveal. His acting on emotions is purposely bad because mando as a person hasn't had any emotion training as he wears a mask. You see him do awkward neck turns almost as if he's still wearing a helmet. He also broke the creed for the sake of grogu and him also questioning if his creed is worth doing.

8th episode wasn't all that great tbh.
I had 2 people tell me 8 was the best episode of the season, its so good, etc etc, wait till you see the reveal
NOTHING HAPPENED
There was no twist, the whole thing of rescuing baby yoda went exactly as planned. There was no risk at any time, there was no tension at any stage cos you know "this is the episode when baby yoda is rescued". It never at any point felt like the good guys could lose lol, maximum plot armour plus extra.
Not forgetting the exaggerated girl power like a big F- YOU to all the fans who complained at anita sarkesian after s01e01 - when she complained there were no women with speaking lines lol. Idk man it really grinds my gears to see it so forced, it doesn't seem natural at all like it's just done that way to make certain crowds happy instead of for lore or plot purposes or anything else. It totally makes sense the way the 4 characters were introduced leading up to this episode as key players. I can't say "there was no reason except real world social justice" for those characters to fill the roles in the finale. And replacing the big muscle with robots VS mandos literal physical plot armour. He's a friggin mary sue.
I was like barely paying attention waiting for something exciting to happen.
Ep 7 was much better. -

Dude lemme tell you this.
I predict you are a The Last of Us Part II hater, and so am I.
But I don't see how there was 'social justice' in this episode. -
