You know how that Marlboro man guy is filming the internetshow in order to collect footage for his own documentary, right?
This documentary was supposed to be his big break. But he gives up after a fire destroys all the footage which was made.

This happens in episode 3 or 4.

So explain to me: if all the footage is gone... who filmed the material of the episodes before that?

No, it's not Exotic himself, nor his staff, as the style of filming and the quality are the same. Being a cameraman is a trade, not something you just pick up. And if any had been able to film this quality, Exotic wouldn't have needed that outside guy.

To me, that makes the whole thing fake. If you present something to be "truly" registered, but you present me with a reconstruction, then to me the series is fake. Sure, I buy that it is based on true events and all, but this way, I cannot know which part is real and which not. So the conclusion is that it is not reliably true, thus fake.

I think this is a mockumentry but it does seem to be based on real people and events, so the actors keep it as real as possible or they would be sued. It is the US after all.

Blackfish was about a killer whale that literally put the “killer” in the name. It also encompassed captivity and treatment in Seaworlds all over, but the focus whale was a multiple victim killer.


How did she think it was going to be the “big cat version”? Like they were going to solely focus on the tiger she fed her husband to? I don’t think she liked her portrayal during the movie. She looked like a crazy ass.


And I know in Texas, people buy cubs like it ain’t no thing. Then in adulthood they realize it costs thousands to feed and house and they want them gone which is why these animal parks pop up.


I think that the struggle/fighting in tiger king was probably real between the parks, but I’m sure the show was one of those “loosely based” stories and they did flip things around and mess with footage to make it more interesting.
