Loved the movie. As a die hard Star Wars fan I loved the references and all that jazz...

If you haven't seen it, time to look away now...

    You gone? OK...

Tell me if I am wrong, but that was Darth ****ing Maul in the hologram. Based on the shit movies, Darth Vader was about six or so when he died. So unless Han is the same age as Ben Kenobi, that dude should have been dead for ten to twenty years when Solo was based, unless Han is really ****ing old...

It's a small thing but it really pissed me off... []

I will never lie to you. What I say is how I feel...

I'd have to look to see where in the timeline, but Darth Maul doesn't die. He gets robotic legs....like an evil Lt Dan.

To be fair, I haven't seen it yet. Episode 7 really turned me off to the franchise, even though Rogue One was really good.

It was a damn good movie, brought a lot of the well known characters together. If you loved the original films, watch it... []

It was after Darth Maul got robotic legs. You could even see the robot legs in the hologram. (I guess Disney is leaving that part of the story. After Disney bought it anything even cartoons and what not all the books nd stories they are no longer part of the story and Disney can do what they want but it seems like they are leaving the Darth Maul getting Robot legs part in.) But why was the Hologram in colour? They have never been in colour even in the future. Also the shot with him and his lightsaber is just pointless and seemed more for the audience that would have no idea who Darth Maul is and not have a point in the story. Darth maul could explain where that Snokes guy came from. Where Darth Maul may have trained him. Though They seemed not to get the ha character right. he was a bit of a whiny brat, not more tough than he should have been even with the background they were giving them. Also the unit he was in in the empire. Everyone else in all the other units are wearing helmets or are storm troopers except for Han and his unit.

Not that I have seen episodes 1- 3 much, mainly as they are very inferior to the original 3 episodes, but didn't Darth Maul fall down a bloody big hole after he had been cut in half?

Loved the character, but he felt out of place... []

All Disney is doing is making a cash grab out of Star Wars.  I watched The Force Awakens and I ****ing HATED it.  Back in 1977 when the first star wars came out. It was about wanting to see the special effects and people at that time in history was fascinated with space.  With the landing on the moon being fresh in everyone's memory.

Now that special effects are a thing that is expected to be in sci-fi movies.  They had to try and come up with something fresh and new.  But the story for Episode 7 was a complete rinse and repeat of A New Hope here are a few examples.  I'll stay with my memories of episodes 4-6 and even 1-3 had SOME good characters like General Grievous, Darth Maul and Sebulba.

    A winner indeed

I agree, both episode 7 and 8 are copies of the originals, but they do it good...

I'd rather watch them than episode 1 to 3, mainly because of Jar Jar ****ing Binks... []

I agree Jar Jar was a bit much of a character.  I believe he had a bigger role in the movies though. It was never followed through with because of the negative backlash received from the character.

Part of it is actually true.  There was a bigger role planned for Jar Jar but was scrapped.  So if he really was that bad, and turned that many people off from episodes 1-3. He really wasn't selling anything.  He scared people away actually lol.

What is wrong with the Ewoks? Jar Jar was worse because he just did nt quite fit and the shape of gungans why would they have those big elephant like feet and be amphibious

Although I can do JarJars voice and know all of his lines. Though even if you removed him Episode one still would have been bad.

Also JarJar is a lot like roger rabbit, very annoying, bouncing around, big floppy ears, higher pitched voices.
