Is there anyone on here that really works at a TV station? If so, what do you do? Not asking for real names or call letters, if it's a local TV station, just curious.

I really work at a TV station. I'm a Master Control Operator. I make sure the local commercials air when they're supposed to, I segment syndicated shows to air the next day, I download local commercials and trim them to air correctly, I make sure the Required Weekly Test airs at the correct time, and I make sure while we're in Network, we don't lose satellite communication. My job doesn't pay very well considering, but I do have quite a bit of responsibility.

Oh, so you are the prick that thinks its funny to have the output volume of the commercials at twice that the program during middle of the night airings?  Or thinks its a good idea to play one commercial 3 times during a 5 commercial segment.

I'm going to bounty you until I see an on air apology.

    Have a Great Day!

The volume is out of my control. As is the same commercial multiple times during a break. That's the traffic departments doing. Here, we sometimes have the same commercial at the beginning and end of a break because the customer wants bookend spots. They pay up to 4 times more for the commercial to air twice in a break.
