Premise: The series focuses on Lucifer Morningstar, the Devil, who is bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell. He resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for Los Angeles, where he ends up running his nightclub "Lux". He becomes involved in a murder case with Detective Chloe Decker, and is subsequently invited to be a consultant to the LAPD. (from Wikipedia)
Absolutely love this show. Fox decided to cancel it after it concluded its' third season this past week, and I'm really hoping it gets picked up to continue. Tom Ellis (who plays Lucifer) is superb in his role, and brings a lot of humor into what would be a pretty boring show otherwise. Really hope it isn't left behind. (Trailer)

Based on the best-selling novel by Margaret Atwood, this series is set in Gilead, a totalitarian society in what used to be part of the United States. Gilead is ruled by a fundamentalist regime that treats women as property of the state, and is faced with environmental disasters and a plummeting birth rate. In a desperate attempt to repopulate a devastated world, the few remaining fertile women are forced into sexual servitude. One of these women, Offred, is determined to survive the terrifying world she lives in, and find the daughter that was taken from her. (source)
Seeing this story portrayed on television has been an extraordinary experience. I'm hyped to finally catch up with the second season of the series, and will definitely be binging on it this week. [:hushed:]Last edited by Astraea on 12:10:16 - 27/05/18 (6 years ago) -
