I just began watching a new series tonight on Netflix called Safe. First episode watched - definitely interested to see how this unfolds.

Synopsis: After his teenage daughter goes missing, a widowed surgeon (Michael C. Hall) in an affluent neighborhood begins unearthing dark secrets about the people closest to him.

    Arrow

Premise: Based on the DC comic book hero,  Arrow revolves around Oliver Queen, heir to multibillion dollar empire returning to Star City after 5 years of being presumed dead. While his family is curious about his mysterious absence for 5 years, Oliver Queen is secretly on a mission to save this city as the masked vigilante, Green Arrow.

Personal note - While the show has declined in quality over the seasons, the show has by far had the best villains compared to its spin-off shows (i.e Flash, DC legends of tomorrow, Supergirl). The action scenes and emotional moments are still up to the mark.

    Patrick Melrose

Based on the bestselling Edward St. Aubyn semi-autobiographical novels, five-part limited series "Patrick Melrose" skewers the upper class as it tracks the protagonist's harrowing odyssey from a deeply traumatic childhood through adult substance abuse and, ultimately, toward recovery.

In my opinion, it's like a posh version of 'Trainspotting' meets 'The Wolf of Wall Street'. Benedict Cumberbatch is fantastic in it. Worth a watch for those who like their TV dark and lurid.
