Black Mirror *Spoiler Alert*

Without a true central plot tying the episodes together , there is a central theme and a believable version of the world in the not so distant future.
In the year thst Torn releases the Elon Musk mask. Someone who fully believes AI will be our greatest threat and simulated conciousness is either a reality or a likely future, i just felt a great need to discuss Black Mirrors implications. -

First two series were on the British TV channel Channel 4. Worth finding them if you can... []I will never lie to you. What I say is how I feel...

Posted on 21:04:16 - 14/01/18 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkThe anthology series genre is dying, but shows like Black Mirror and Darknet give me hope.
Channel Zero is also fantastic, though it's seasonal rather than episodic, and you probably need to have a pre-existing love for creepypasta (season one is Candle Cove, season two is NoEnd House, and season three will be original content). It's essentially what American Horror Story wishes it was (minus the bullshit political undertones).
If you're a fan of oldschool anthology series (though primarily horror rather than sci-fi), there are countless good options that I've recently gotten back into. So much nostalgia.
Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction, Fear Itself, Freddy's Nightmares, Night Visions, Friday the 13th (show), and some others I'm completely blanking on at the moment. -

Edit: Sorry, just realized you meant it's only on Netflix, not that it's only made by Netflix. My bad.Last edited by MadHatter on 21:08:31 - 14/01/18 (7 years ago) -

Posted on 03:28:14 - 15/01/18 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkNice, huge fan of the anthology based shows especially in The Sci Fi and Horror genres especially. Bith genres found their Golden Age in the time of periodicals like Strange Tales etc , my favorite of these authors geing HP Lovecraft. The transition of Creepshow from Comic to Show was fun fir me as a youth.

To add to this thread, to me their best episodes are: San Junipero, Hang the DJ, White Christmas and Black Museum. They don't really have bad episodes, more like episodes simply not in line with ones view of the portrayed subject.
I find it interesting that for a series known for their "dark" take on technology that their best episodes are of a somewhat upbeat tone.Last edited by Delyrium on 21:26:02 - 26/01/18 (7 years ago) -

Posted on 17:39:50 - 30/01/18 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkHas anyone else noticed the recurrence of the song "Anyone who knows what love is" throughout the series?
and after looking into it, Ive found a few "connections" between episodes in different season. Heres a link (SPOILERS) that shows different easter eggs and connections.
But in my opinion, the best episodes are "fifteen million merits", "the entire history of you", "White Bear", "Nosedive", and "USS Callister" -
