Posted on 20:03:49 - 22/03/17 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkIt really does feel out of place. I really like the actor playing Frank, and I want to love the whole seedy shipyard thing, but it's just boring. And I want to punch Ziggy every time he opens his damn mouth, or waves around a wad of cash, or spouts off to someone that will kill him. He is the most moronic character I have seen in a long time. Straight cringe, every scene.
My buddy told me to just power through it, so I'm watching it in 15-30 minute blocks. I can't convince myself to sit through a whole episode, so I watch little pieces every now and then. Think I'm roughly half-way through episode 7. -

Posted on 02:16:16 - 23/03/17 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkOther then TWD, there are very few shows that I really watched on a week to week basis. By far my favorite series was the US version of The Office.
Sure some may say it fell off at the end, but I still enjoyed it. I couldn't even name my favorite cast member since I loved them all. I do have a soft spot in my heart for Dwight and Angela though lol. -

Posted on 19:57:49 - 23/03/17 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkI don't care what the haters say, I love The Office all the way through. It's hard to fill Steve Carell's shoes and replace Michael Scott, but I think Ed Helms/Andy was the best possible choice for that. I don't like what they did to his character towards the end, but I never liked the show any less for it.
Besides... Plop -
Posted on 02:51:01 - 24/03/17 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkI feel the same. I mean there is only one Michael Scott after all. The first couple episodes after he left had a few bumps in the road but they quickly fixed it in my opinion. Just so many great characters all in one show working so well together was great to watch.

Posted on 22:36:13 - 24/03/17 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkSeason 2 wants sooo bad to be interesting, but it always fall short. Ziggy goes ****ing ham on the Greeks, instantly becomes the best character of the season... and then turns back to bitch in under 5 minutes.
And watching the Greeks use a hose to wash pounds on pounds of blow down a shower drain? Traumatizing. Seriously, go bury the shit somewhere. Or give it away or something. That was just inconsiderate.
Edit: I love how the number "221" keeps showing up all over the place. I've noticed the writers like doing shit like that, tons of subtle repetitions and easter eggs.
I'm sure it has absolutely no relation, but every time I hear it, I think of Sherlock Holmes (221B being his apartment).
Edit v2: 10 minutes into season 3 and it's already better than season 2. lmaoLast edited by MadHatter on 01:14:01 - 25/03/17 (7 years ago) -

Posted on 20:59:07 - 02/04/17 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkI have watched a lot of tv over the years. less so in the past 10 years or so.
The wire - As mentioned further above. This is the best cop show EVER. If you like cop shows and have never seen it you HAVE to watch it. I think when they made GTA San Andreas they where greatly influenced by the wire, all the gangsters etc.
Lexx - This is the greatest scifi ever made as far as im concerned. That is a big statement to make i know but i really think its better than the star treks, star wars, star gate, farscape etc etc. But its pretty weird, maybe too weird for some people. There are 4 series and a few mini movies to watch. As a lover of scifi i really do think this is the best but it is a bit weird and that could be offputting to some people.
The Walking Dead - As someone who has watched a bazillion zombie films this is my dream come true tv series. High production values (unlike most zombie films) well written, interesting characters etc etc. There can be some slow uneventful episodes usually the ones without zombies but its still awesome.
Red Dwarf - Scifi comedy series. I like comedy and i like scifi. The perfect combination. This is so good. It has been going since the late 1980s. Originally bbc but now occassionaly mini series on the cable channel dave. It is a unique program and one of my favorites a must for any scifi or comedy fan.
The Fast Show - The best sketch show ever made. For those of you who dont know what a sketch show is it is short comedy clips often 30 seconds or less strung together one after another with different characters and scenes in it. The most famous sketch show is Monty Python. The Fast Show is better.
Bottom - Violent, aggressive and very very funny comedy show.
I could go on but i dont have all night.Forum signatures make my eyes hurt so i have turned them off.
