There were a few things in there that at the moment do not seem to make sense and seems to be writer errors or overlooks. But maybe they will be explained.
Also something that the movie also did not explain, but on the show it seems like the potential for this to happen would be worse.
They establish in the show that it is hard to tell the difference between real people and the robots and if you are in a town with a bunch of real people in there as well doing things a long with robots, how do they stop real people from killing other people. With the guns you can not shoot other people, but they have knives and people are using them and other things to kill people. So what would prevent someone from getting knifed or stabbed with a broken bottle in a bar brawl?
I know people could say I am a real person, but in the heat of a fight the actions may be too quick to say. I know it goes off from what the story is about but something like that could happen and it not being addressed especially in the show throws out a bit of the believability.

Even the robots die like real people so what's to stop someone from gutting somebody in a bar fight or some guy from raping and murdering a real woman and not knowing it?

Anyway I recommend it! And not for the nudity :D -

In November 2016, HBO renewed the show for a 10-episode second season, planned for a 2018 debut. -

Posted on 07:05:34 - 14/12/16 (8 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkThat is true that there may be accidental deaths, but if you notice in the show there is a way to tell the Host's from the Guest's i.e real people, and that is their hats, if you remember from the earlier episodes they make you choose between a "white hat" for a good player or a "black hat" for a bad guy basically. Also if you say certain words like "real world" to the robots, they ignore it because they're programmed to not notice it. "Doesn't look like anything to me" this phrase still gives me chills lol

I feel most of the time a show loses its episodic punch when they wait too long between seasons or even episodes - something similar happened to Caprica, I just hope it doesn't happen to Westworld.Last edited by Volta on 14:32:42 - 19/02/17 (7 years ago)
