Anyone here a fan of Steven Universe or other cartoons? What do you think about it? Personally, I love the show and I've been watching it since September 2014.

Oh hell yes. Dude Steven Universe is amazing. Honestly my only complaint about it is that it isn't on enough.

Same, dude. Unfortunately Cartoon Network has control over the show's airing schedule so everyone in the Crewniverse doesn't know when the next episodes are airing until later. It's been forever since we've had regular weekly episodes.

Yeah, I do appreciate the Steven Bombs though. I think the last few they released weekly though, right? They got leaked online before they showed up on Cartoon Network and I spoiled them for myself lol. Hey let me ask you something, because there's this one episode I have an odd theory about and I asked one other person and they agreed with me, but if it's true then they're diving into some REAL adult themes with it. Have you seen the episode where Amethyst and Greg hole up in Greg's storage unit watching Lil Butler?

Yep, I've seen that episode before. I've seen literally every single episode and short that they've officially released. The episode was titled Maximum Capacity (Season 1 Episode 43) and things got intense between Steven, Greg, and Amethyst which was a bit of a curveball for me when I first saw it the day it aired.

I always love spoiling myself with leaks from the show because these Steven Bombs make me thirsty for more content. Recently, someone was able to get a hold of SU episode marathon titles and possible future episode titles, and they're known for leaking actual content, such as small clips ripped straight from CN's server few days before the actual episode airs. I usually snoop around Reddit and Tumblr to look for information about leaks, even fake leaks are enjoyable if they look legit enough.

There's said to be an upcoming Steven Bomb on July 18th, so I'm betting that clips are going to be leaked a bit before it happens. I've been hyped ever since CN France aired episodes earlier than the regular CN over here in America. I'm so obsessed with this show that my recent purchases have been mostly Steven Universe merchandise orders and I sometimes look at the other work that people working on the show do, such as other things voice actors have been in or other art projects that storyboarders have worked on. Talk about being a dedicated fan, I rarely ever come across others who are really deep into the show.

I think I've missed exactly one episode but it was a filler and I don't know which lol. So in Maximum Capacity, Amethyst and Greg start watching Lil Butler together and it's mentioned that they used to hang out a lot but something happened between them and they stopped. You get a look at what probably happened later on when Amethyst and Greg have a blow up that culminates in Amethyst shapeshifting into Rose Quartz to mess with Greg. Now when I look it up on the forums, there's a consensus that Amethyst, being the youngest Crystal Gem, is jealous of the time Greg got to spend with RQ, like Pearl but instead she misses Rose as a mother figure. I think that, while reasonable, doesn't quite fit the episode. I think that Amethyst isn't jealous of the time Greg spent with Rose Quartz, but rather jealous of the time Rose Quartz spent with Greg. She does say that she used to have Rose mostly to herself before Greg showed up, but her actions line up with my idea better. She blushes when she sees the picture of Greg and RQ and she gets really possessive of Greg later on in the episode. I think the thing that gets me most is that she turns into Rose Quartz because she does it while upset in a bid to get Greg to stay so it really feels like jealousy on her part over Rose's relationship with Greg. If they were going for the other way you'd think they'd have played up her looking at Greg as a father figure, and I know it's a throwaway line that probably doesn't mean anything, but the "I've seen your junk before" line that Amethyst has really paints everything she does with him from there on in as kind of flirty.

Yea that line Amethyst says tends to paint the rest of their relations as adult themes. But, you do make a good point. Amethyst and Greg seem to get along pretty well throughout most of the series despite small tensions in some episodes and the whole entire events that unfold in Maximum Capacity.

I mean I feel like a single parent seeing someone else would be the kind of heavy thing that SU tends to tackle. I just wonder if that was intentional or not.

Usually when it comes to deep topics in the show, the creator, Rebecca Sugar, has those topics in there intentionally for reasons sincebin an interview, she said the characters are based off of different things like her past experiences growing up, her past friends and classmates from college, family members, experiences, etc.
