    Silkhands [2118155]

I must admit I was waiting for the heads on pike scene and wondered which regular cast members would die. I was shocked at seeing Tara in the line up as I thought she was one of the better characters. Enid, sad to see go as I think the actress has a great future ahead of her. But Henry? In all honesty I was hoping to see Fr Gabriel go and maybe give poor Eugine a path to something approaching happiness.

    So, big question.

How many of us think that we will hear the voice of Rick Grimes on the HAM radio that Eugine is making? It'll be the one thing that will keep us all waiting with baited breath for S10 at the end of the year!
Hope Father Gabriel gets his comic story. I thought they were going to give it to Eugene back when he and Rosita were setting up the radio before running into the whisperers.
Think the voice is female. Probably a set-up for a comic storyline. Though way to early for it I think. In the comics Eugene speaks to a Stephanie from a community called the Commonwealth. Some Comic fans think Georgie is her show counterpart ( Georgie was the older lady who showed up with the twins wanting music records, which Maggie is currently with).

I Think Rick may get a character named Elodie from the comics story in a way.

Tonight’s episode will be a leap calmer than the last two episodes. No big explosive moment like most finales. The blizzard, a community falling and the radio being the main things.  Aftermath of last week and building up to S10.
If you rag on the show, that’s your answer on hitting the next channel button before you torture yourself. Be a character/story fans episode.

I’m hoping Negan is let loose tonight.

Well that season is over :P
I have posted a bit in this thread in the past and you all know i love zombie stuff. I still like that walking dead, but there are many problems and the problems are getting worse as time goes by.
We return to my theme of too many characters. There are and has been for quite some time WAY too many of them.
A zombie show/film has to be more about the zombies than people for it to work.

I can see i am finally losing hope in the walking dead. I missed 4 episodes after the mid season break. The first episodes of the walking dead i have missed in the whole time the show has been on.

Im not bothered about it to be honest. This is very sad, the best made/produced zombie thing ever and im not bothered i missed some of it.

The Walking Dead is finished. Im not saying they are going to stop filming it anytime soon ( they might for all i know) but as far as im concerned its finished.

I will still watch it, but there has to be a MASSIVE culling of extras or it will never be a great show again.

In the first few series it was magnificent. So good, very very good. It has lost its way big time, it is difficult to pinpoint exactly when that happened. But i first became really concerned when they spent a whole season moping around in a prison talking to each other .....

I feel sad about it to be honest. Watch a episode from the first series now, then watch 1 from a recent series in the last few years.
It used to be FAR better didnt it?

Im sorry for rambling. I do get a bit upset when a tv show i like goes downhill.

Forum signatures make my eyes hurt so i have turned them off.

I agree 100%. What used to be a great show is now a dull, boring and a dreadful drag. Each episode is so full of holes, poorly written, predictable and just boring. I keep watching because I have so many years involved and I want it to be a good .. great would be better, but I'd settle for good .. show again. So far it continues to fail. Too many characters, no main characters and no one to really care about anymore. Angela Kang is way worse than Scott Gimple .. she's putting the final nails in the coffin. As if the Negan and Saviors story wasn't ridiculous enough now we have the Whisperers which is even worse. They don't believe in walls or fences and they sleep on the ground .. one person snores and the whole camp is in danger .. EVERY night! And with them always walking at zombie pace .. how long did it take them to migrate south? Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.

    The Walking Dread ...

Anyone have an idea whose voices was on the radio at the end? I Believe it’s a woman’s voice. But who???
In the comics Eugene contacts a woman named Stephanie during the Whisperer conflict.
It could be the set up for the Community called Commonwealth in Ohio. I think its too early for it, but they could do it.
Stephanie tells Eugene about her community. A group made up of  Eugene, Michonne, Siddiq, Magna and Yumiko set up to go investigate. Also "Princess", they meet her in Pittsburgh on their way (George Romero was from Pittsburgh as you may know he passed away not long ago).
They make up about 50,000 people living in a group of settlements ran by Governor Pamela Milton. They have their own army, restaurants, Bakery, stadiums. Have concerts and sport games. They also have an old world problem, a bunch of uppity-ups ( a class system). Your rated based on what you were pre-apocalypse.
This storyline is still ongoing in the comics.

Anyone that thinks there is to many people in the walking dead now, its really going to complaining when we get to the commonwealth.

I have to agree to a point.

I think a lot of people didn't hear Kirkman out comic or show wise on what his aim was for the series.
Lots of peoples minds didn't click in the scene in the barn with Ricks speech " we are the walking dead". I think the episode "Them"  was where they explained the series.
Lots of interviews at the beginning Kirkman explained that the thing that he didn't like most in zombie genre is the fact it ends with the characters riding off into the sunset to never be seen or heard of again. His question is where do they go? Do they survive? Do they make a life in what comes after, how do they go on?
Some want intestine eating, but that same group would be complaining that the shows always the same. So, seems it cant win with some. I feel bad that those are not as invested in the character story and cast as I have been and the what will Kirkman's world look like at the end, who will be there?

Most recent comic book letter hacks (Kirkman's reply is in bold).

I'm guessing since no one has mentioned it ... anyone who watched FTWD Sunday night was so unimpressed they forget all about it. What a bunch of dummies .. advertising who they are and what they have .. then leaving the warehouse unattended?

Worth the watch? (I’m for the main show, just haven’t clicked with the characters on fear, especially Alicia).
I haven’t watched it yet, might do so later depending on your input. Or may wait till I hear it’s the episode Dwight appears and watch all up to at once.

"This new story, from Scott M. Gimple and Matt Negrete, who will serve as showrunner, will feature two young female protagonists and "focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it," according to a release."

Oh hey, I wonder what kind of themes this is going to explore.

Im annoyed by the fact that in these series the actors look way too "polished" if you know what I mean, after all its the apocalypse but they have time to style their hairs and beards and such, always clean clothes etc.
The devil is in the details for me, I look more rugged than them and I live in a normal civilized society so thats a bit of a turn off for me.
Otherwise a decent show, gotta love Trevor Philips oh I mean Steven Ogg though

Yes but in a world without any modern day distractions you'd maybe take care of your appearance more. Living in what would count as "field conditions" you'd certainly need to take care of personal cleanliness for fear of infection.

    Just a thought.
