We were talking about Dr Who in faction chat the other day...

I haven't liked any of the stories since Russell T Davies left. The whole program changed completely. I'm sure I would have like Matt Smith a lot more if I had liked the stories... sadly Dr Who has changed completely since then and from what I can tell they seem to keep drawing upon the same old story lines time after time. Like, The Master's story ark should have been left alone after the The End Of Time episode. Just seems like a cop-out to say "oh he survived but in female form"....

So I just stopped watching a together xD

So I think the episode went good, horrible and weird, good. What the f**k was that bit with the guitar? The rest was good tho. But not as good as the old ones. It's slowly decreasing in quality unfortunately :-(.

I do understand what you mean, but I still like series tho. I love it because of the all epic moments that happen.


@Thoradin_Vondal: I laughed so f**king hard on that part. hahaha but yes, I think last season was pretty bad, I think they were focusing Clara too much, and too little of Capaldi's skills.

The format has been messed up since it came back. Most of it due to the time constraints and due to trying to have all this stuff happening during all the episodes link into the finale at the end. The only time that was ever done in the old series was during a season of the 4th doctor with the key to time.
At least they got away from the mothers of the companions being always involved that got a bit annoying. and repetitive. The doctor needs to get more away from Earth, and not have just one companion, or one companion and their boyfriend/husband. He needs a companion from somewhere else or if from Earth not from present day Earth.

The last season was a mess, there were some okay stories in there like the 2d3d 3d 2d one and the mummy one and the forest one. But steven moffat put in stuff and messed them up a bit. The whole Danny pink thing was annoying. I also could not stand the Robin Hood one because they were going on oh he is real after all but it did not historically add up because they left out a character that is in the oldest versions of the story and had in characters that are known to be most likely added 500 or so years later. So that one made me mad.

Now off to this season, the episode started well, then he goes and throws in this stupid joke that was too stretched thin and just wasted a bunch of time.

When I heard this season most of what they were doing was going to be two parters I thought good they are going to go back tot eh older style of telling stories and have all these other characters as well. Where you could fit a better story in. like how they used to be. but if steven moffat is just going to waste he time in every one of the first part it is just going to lag it down.

Although i heard Steven Moffat is quitting and that John Barrowman was going to take over as the shows front runner.

I liked the second episode. I am not going to say anything about it yet though. It worked with the first episode and brought it all together. It is off to a lot better start than the last season.

Last season with Capaldi had some good episodes, but season as complete wasn't really the best one in the new series. In that season i liked the most Mummy on the Orient Express and Time Heist. That bank robbery was cool if you ask me. Althought I knew it since begining it was the doctor who set it up. There were some other cool episodes like Deep Breath, in that episode dinosaurs were a bit too much for me, but I liked deep breath concept afterall. Kill the Moon was the one with some more running and action, although I find it just to be average of season, nor good nor bad episode.

Good thing is this season started already better than last one. Also I don't know what should I think about Moffat leaving. He did had nice season tho.

I personally like the way dr who is now with one exception they gave david tennant few more seasons along with matt smith and gave less seasons to the actor when they brought bk the series in 2005,great start so far and from what i've read online clara's character will be replaced as the actor who plays clara is moving on to a new show.

The actor at the first season when they brought back series is Chrisopher Eccleston. He was a bit, hmm, how to say it, for me it seemed like he didn't give 100% of being a doctor, like he didn't used all his potential, but again, I loved to watch that 10 years ago when I was 11. Maybe plot had a role in it as well. But he's still fantastic guy! hehe

I like Doctor Who but its getting kind of repetitive. Its always the Darleks most of the time. Frankly, i'd like the series to be done with the Darleks. I have had enough of them.

I do not think they have been over using the Daleks. Well in the last story with the 11th doctor I was thinking it was going to be a lot different. But overall not too much. They are in a bit more because of the whole Time War. Though this newest episodes with Daleks were pretty good. I could have done without the axe guitar joke. But it did add a lot to the story and tied in a lot of things.

Though what I find that is getting repetitive is the constant acquiring of present day Earth companions. And for the most part nly having one companion at a time and if there is a male it is just the boyfriend husband of the main companion.
At least we have gotten away from the mothers of the companions.

But the Doctor needs to get away from Earth for a while. He needs a companion that is from another planet or at least another time from Earth.
Also have more than one companion and do not have any more love.

I do like now in this season they finally seemed to get it that they needed more time for most of the stories. Because of how it used to be there were usually 4 24 minute episodes to make up one story. There is not enough time to get the flow right usually in a 46 minute time frame. A lot of stories in previous seasons seemed to have been squished by that.

I did like the third episode this season so far.

Why sonic sunglasses tho? The screwdriver is so much better.

Yeah those are a bit silly. I can see to have them to slip past certain things but they are just a bit silly.

I think these forums really need "are you sure you want to leave the page" when you have any text typed into the box. I typed now so much text and everything was gone because of mislick.



Anyhow, what I was saying was....

Yesterday I was at my friends place, he and his gf didn't saw last episode so I re-watched it with them, and anyhow I think I've found 2 plot wholes. First one is, when doctors hologram opens Faraday cage and lets the other ghosts out. Few times in the episode it was said it was hologram - the doctors ghost, so how did he let other ghosts out if he was just image? Clearly he touched that little computer screen with hand and realsed other ghosts that way, but that would be impossible beacuse it was hologram, so that's a fail in the scenario here.



Second one, that doctors fan girl O'Donnell died in the past shortly after prentice did. So with that logic her ghost would appear in the same time as prentice's did in the future, before Morans. However, she would still be alive in the future at the time her ghost should've appeared(before Morans) because she went from the future to the past and died in the past, so she would be alive at the same moment when her ghost should've appeared, because as we saw hers ghost did appear in the future after she died in the past. I can explain this one only on the way that we firstly saw normal future, then doctor came in and changed future letting her die in the past which resulted she appeared in the future...but as I said she died in the past, she should've appeared in the future in the same time Prentice's ghost did.



So overall, the episode was allright, although some stupid moves ruined it a bit...like when the Clara and deaf girl decided to leave faraday cage to look for the Lunn and they split on such retarted way and then neither of them looks back, especially the deaf girl...she should've had eyes everywhere, but allright.

I also don't really like sonic sunglasses, screwdriver was so much better, but I guess they're trying to make this doctor more unique, although I'd rather hear some phrase similar to those before; "Fantastic", "Allons-y" and "Geronimo", but all right.
