    Hello everybody,
This thread is about certain things that are in a bunch of television shows and possibly movies but are never like that in the real world. Maybe some things are more regional but there are things in some shows that seem like they are only there or happen in shows. Especially sitcoms.

    Renewing wedding vows.
Do people actually do that? It seems like it is a common plot in sitcoms but I have never heard of anyone actually do that.

Science fairs the schools I went to never had a science fair but they seem to be the plots of episodes of television shows all the time.

Maybe those two things do happen but they do seem to be used too often.

But the next thing. Those pink boxes for cakes and desserts. I have never seen one of those pink boxes. But in all these different movies and television shows when they show a cake in a box or cupcakes, other desserts, pie and sometimes even doughnuts they are always in those pink boxes. Even stuff people brought to a bake sale.
I have never seen those pink boxes. I used to work in a pastry shop we never got pink boxes. When I went to the store that was only open to restaurants and bakeries and places like that. They carried a lot of different types of boxes yet none of those pink ones. I think they only exist in movies/television.

So if you have something that you always see in movies or Television shows and it is seeming that they are acting it is like a real thing that happens everywhere yet you never witnessed it you can talk about it here. Or if you have seen one of those things say something about it.
I hope someone finds this at least a bit interesting.

People definitely renew wedding vowels because a few of my family members have discussed it before as a way of marking a significant anniversary, e.g. a 20th anniversary. As for the rest, I have no idea whether they are used frequently or at all.
