    Sidonia no Kishi is a pretty interesting space opera and Comical Psychosomatic Medicine for something funny yet informative. Warning: These can get pretty weird.

    My absolute favorite is Rose of Versailles.

    And I'd recommend Gungrave, Phantom: Requiem for a Phantom, Steins;Gate, Monster, Ghost in the Shell (everything about it), Basilisk, Code Geass.

    As for Manga, Biomega and Blame! are pretty good, Berserk of course, but I think it will never be finished; Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, Moster (yes, its the same as I mentioned in anime, but it is just too good), Death Note.

    My favorite is Death Note, but I am on the last episode of Parasyte, and if the second season is as good as the first was than I'll probably have to change it.
