The sequel, 2010 - The Year We Make Contact, is a lot more 'Hollywood' compared to the first film but enjoyable nonetheless. -

One of the best WW2 films out there showing the stark reality of life on board a German U-boat. -

Action scifi horror.
Possibly 1 of the most influential films ever.
So many sci fi b movies have drawn their inspiration from this film.
The games industry is also massively influenced by this film as well.
If you havent seen this film you need to see it.
The directors cut is actually good as well it adds to the film it isnt just fluff like many directors cuts are.Forum signatures make my eyes hurt so i have turned them off.

Early ninety's but set in the 80s. Sci-fi time travel.
great great movie. With a classic soundtrack heavily consisting of Tears for fears and revolving around their classic song 'Gentle persuasions'. I dare you to whach it only once. You can't. It's so deep that you literally think about the plot and the ending for days on end afterwards. (I love those movies that leave a lasting impression of sadness and what ifs). Much in the same vein as The Butterfly effect. Another great time travel movie. Must see's, both of them. They'll change your whole perspective. -

all 4 movies star Tony Jaa. The answer to Jackie Chan and Jet Li.
His Muay Thai has to be seen to be believed. No strings attached aerial acrobatic chases combined with some of the best fight choreography in cinema history to date. -

It would be my favourite Australian film. Features Eric Bana in one of the best, most underrated performances you're ever likely to see. You'd struggle to even know it was bana playing Aussie crime legend and stand over man Chopper Read. Chopper was such an interesting man who lead an interesting life. It's an awesome film and is very funny.Last edited by Pulp on 09:00:10 - 31/03/15 (9 years ago) -

Even after Lord of the Rings, was never a fan of Elijah Woods. but his role in this is a prime example of his acting ability and range.
Brutal but a great great movie.Last edited by LycanNinety on 18:08:22 - 05/04/15 (9 years ago) -

A great inspirational movie based on the book, Rocketboys. Nothing like watching four "dumb" boys from the middle of nowhere figure out how to build rockets while nearly blowing themselves up. How hard could rocket science be anyways? Having an interest in basic rocketry will make watching the movie a little more magical. Anybody that knows some basic physics/calculus might like a specific part in the movie more than others (thank god for graphing calculators).
This movie and the book shows that with enough determination and support, you really can learn to do anything. So pure of heartAnd strong of mindSo true of aim with his marshmallow laser
