More into manga than anime though.
My top 5 manga are probably:
Soul Eater, One Piece, The Gamer, Doubt, Liar Game
The first two have anime associated with them although I find them to not quite do justice to the manga.
Soul Eater was a Bones production and deviated from the manga similar to how FMA did.
One Piece is upbeat and cartoony in the manga which is why I love it, but its just blown way out of proportion post-Saoboady (save for Impel Down and Paramount War which were pretty cartoony but not as bad...probably due to the change in characters though)Last edited by Ceb on 20:36:25 - 01/09/14 (10 years ago) -

This final arc is already CRAZY exciting though xP Kind of predictable events so far but I have faith that my mind will be blown by the end of it. -

Yea but he's so OP now! I can forgive the slow translations since it keeps me so entertained. Spoilers:
Its great to follow his stat and skill builds to see how they relate to the abilities of real people and the slowly developing arc keeps it casual and fun so there's not much melodrama or arc fatigue even when all he's doing is grinding. The grind is pretty fun actually and the fact his skills and information windows keep revealing so much is pretty enticing. It's hinted at least twice now that he's a descendant of powerful ability (particularly magic) users and so its awesome that he's becoming a mage himself. And implementing YunHon Soul Recovery into his training regimen is awesome because whether or not he can cure Hwan Sung-Ah or not, he can use it to keep his low health up as long as he has Soul Stones. I guess he still has to worry about being one-hit but maybe not w/ mana shield.
Even though its slow its always a treat when they come out. Actually, releases have treated me especially well since I caught it starting at Chapter 18 and by the time I read 1-18, 19 came out during that time which never happens for me. Especially being accustomed to following "weekly" One Piece releases and Liar Game which has some pretty hardcore hiatuses xPLast edited by Ceb on 19:18:55 - 03/09/14 (10 years ago) -
