To start things rolling, an important Fun and Games question...
Private lotteries and dollar sales? Blatant scam or trying to make a better community?[]I will never lie to you. What I say is how I feel...

So, let the absurd prevail!
Yes, its kind of interesting point of view. -

Posted on 17:24:29 - 06/07/14 (10 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkPrivate lotteries are usually branded scams so most people avoid them, dollar sales are fun but the ones with high-dollar items are often hijacked by scripters (not anymore though).

Posted on 17:31:54 - 06/07/14 (10 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkLotteries are 90% scams (jj's annual property giveaways being the exception) and dollar sales were great (though now useless as they're invariable script raped).
Both are relics of a past era. The future is in time-shares and hover-bikes! -

Posted on 17:38:13 - 06/07/14 (10 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkLotteries are 99% scams not 90% scams, most are just too stupid to get it and will think things like "posting a pic of the RNG" makes it somehow more legit. That's why when I did it I used a 3rd party site, input the data and locked it to draw after a certain period to prevent tampering. No one else has ever done that because it wouldn't work when scamming people.

Some people are philanthropic in nature, and others are obviously greedy. The individual holding the lottery/dollar sale has to be considered to determine their agenda.

Posted on 18:41:59 - 06/07/14 (10 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkI like to do little giveaways from time to time. I found that people often don't trust you with lotteries so I steer clear of them. It's better to think up a game which is fun that people can enter for free or for a little fee.
Dollar sales always piss me off because you get someone with a mega-fast internet connection who buys all the good stuff before anyone else has a look in. -
