    To bad I have to recreate this thread since the Torn update.

    Anyways this thread is to discuss the HBO show Game of Thrones and the series of Novels GRRM wrote A Song of Ice and Fire which Game of Thrones is an adaptation of. Feel free to post anything related to GoT spoilers included,

    House stark, i'm cheering for Arya all the way plus Brann is doing well now too (though i don't like Brann as much).

    I love how the pacing seems to pick up each season, i'm looking forward to season 5 and 6.

    I love House Stark as well but since season 1 House Baratheon has been neck and neck because I always found Robert talking about The battle at the Trident with Selmy was so interesting and badass of him so Robert was a favorite of mine and Renly would have made a great king even though we was a well known pillow biter and now with Stannis! forget about it! Stannis's badassness could rival Roberts!. In episode 10 "The Children" Stannis with his army smashing Mance at the wall could have been one of the most epic scenes of all the seasons thus far!

    Arya is my favorite character as well. I was elated with the ending of season four. I cannot wait to see where they take this over the next couple of seasons. I'm guessing some kind of initiation and training with faceless men. She will be the instrument of retribution for the Stark name.

    TBH until Daenarys settled her "throne" in Mereen in season four, I probably would have been backing her. That was kind of disappointing, but reasonable considering the goal of her reign.

    I really dislike Daenarys she rubs me the wrong way, She is clueless on ruling and if it weren't for Jorah & Selmy she'd be completely lost. I think she should stay in Mereen because if she tried ruling Westeros they way shes ruling over the cities she's conquered, Houses would be rising against her left right and center. But that might just be the disdain for her thats talking, but Emilia Clarke is a wonderful actress and very charming during interviews and I couldnt see anyone else play the mother of dragons better.

    LOL! I re chose as well. I love House Stark dont get me wrong everybody in the family I very much enjoy even Sansa though she just grew on me over the course of season 3-4. But I chose House Baratheon because of Robert & Stannis.


    I have to bring this up... Where the heck is BlackFish & Gendry!!!???!!! Blackfish has got to be the most UNDERRATED character and from the books seems to be pretty badass and Gendry! now that Davos let him escape it seems hes been on that little boat forever

    I too am curious why Gendry didnt appear at all in season 4. I didnt expect a full payoff, but there wasnt even a mention of him.

    Voted house stark, the whole of Aryas story has been my favourite, and bringing the whole three eyed raven story forward helped Branns. If it wasn't for those two I would have to be part of the nights watch, it would be too hard to decide who I would pledge fealty to.


    Damn!, thats a no brainer! I should have added the Night's Watch and I apologize to anyone who would have chosen that instead.

    But I agree Sam, Bran & Arya's storyline is about to get very intense and to be honest Im sure Sansa's will too! heck she just went all Darth Vader on us lol

    10 episodes just doesn't seem like enough time for the amount of exposition needed for a dozen different character story-lines, but I think they are finally answering some important questions. Specifically: where is Bran going, what is going to happen to the Stark girls, when is Daenerys going to find enough ships to cross to Westeros, how will Joffrey die. I consider it fortunate that at least they're getting somewhere with the story.

    The show is proving exceedingly more and more different to the books! And the Tully's will surely have the revenge with Walder, so we should see Blackfish again.

    Recently heard there will be no lady stoneheart in the show?!


    If I'm going to be honest I'm still in denial that Ned died lol!!! I watch season one over and over again and fish at ep 8, so he never dies!

    Well, I'm re-reading the books and watching the season 1-3 box-set. I'm keeping the book reading slightly ahead of the series though. Kind of a half-arsed season commentary really! Its interesting to see where the the screenplay departs from the books as well.

    I like the Nights Watch;however, nowhere in either book/screen is there a snowman with a carrot nose, amusing smile and a hat at a jaunty angle. Not even one!!
