Most of us know how incredibly rare it is to find a group of ELECTED individuals who work well together from the start and can be trusted to make wise strategic decisions based on mission objectives as opposed to specific instructions. Big_Rico, ThtAstronaughtGuy, xJoker, _Scofield_, Comrade_Joe, Rum4nyby, Wicked, Dalzadar, Pyrit, and MJ_Cookie all fell into this category and were absolutely wonderful to work with. They worked diligently, stuck to what they excelled in, communicated effectively, and made zero poor judgment calls. (I'd write them each a real life Linkedin recommendation if they asked!)
Big_Rico and I knew we would have an uphill climb when our high-stat veteran players (Hilde, L4, Rapid_Riser, JimmyJames, Hank) each indicated they had zero interest in helping us lead the Terror Bytes team. The difficulty level further increased when DUDE joined our ranks and started his usual torpedo-the-team-in-anyway-possible campaign. We knew we had to act swiftly and decisively, so we did. In less than 36 hours we were in strategic talks with several other Elimination teams, had finalized the election of two additional lesser-known-less-networked-rookie-leaders and got them up to speed on the game plan, created a seven-man council, successfully excommunicated DUDE and actually weaponized him, released a promotional video for recruitment, drafted a formal organizational chart that outlined responsibilities/authority, implemented counterintelligence protocols, created an armory with a proper inventory tracking system, had verified just under 300 members into our Discord server with various commands and countdown timers, established metrics to gauge our team's hits and target-focus on the life-loss ticks, published a detailed Elimination-how-to guide in the forums, and hosted a few troop-morale-boosting Elimination team Classic Mini races with prizes.
The cohesiveness of this team was nothing short of outstanding. You ALL are welcome to be on my team any time!
It's certainly been an interesting Elimination year! There were three severely imbalanced objectively-weak teams (Peasants, Pandemic, Toothpaste), two teams with leadership who were not internally on the same page with one another (Seal Team 6 and Murder Hornets), three teams who were ride-or-die with a clearly pre-established fixed "final 3" as indicated by Hcom/Champion's "leak" (Total Bankers, Sea Men, Victorious Secret), three teams who were stuck constantly finding themselves navigating new alliances (Terror Bytes, Vikings, and Karma Farmers), and one team who was taken out early simply due to their perceived firepower potential (Heavyweights).
Well played Sea Men and Victorious Secret. (Just know that a few leaders in our alliance might have flipped a coin to determine which head of the dragon would be cut off first... Heads - Bankers gets targeted first; Tails - Sea Men gets targeted first... so be grateful to ol' lady luck!)
The goal has always been to maximize fun within our ranks and to die standing on our feet in constant pursuit of 1st place as opposed to settling for some lame pre-negotiated non-first-place finishing position... *cough* Murder Hornets *cough*
You better believe we'll be fighting until death with every robot life we have left to put the bees into 5th place right behind those Seal Team Six traitors, and then fighting from our robot graves to influence the competition further with external assassin-bot hits and medical-bot revives.
Karma Farmers and Vikings, thanks for being such awesome allies. You fought with honor and dedication which will not be forgotten when the Terror Bytes are reactivated circa 2024.
On behalf of the Terror Bytes leadership team, we certainly hope everyone who participated in elimination had fun and left incentivized to push your battlestats further, get better weaponry/armor, more weapon attachments, and merits-boosts for next year's competition!
Godspeed Terror Bytes!

I've had a ton of fun working with all of the terror bytes leaders and co since we started. One of the only teams that held their standards up the entire game, never faltered, never failed. Truely one of the best elim teams of all time.

First and only competition I've joined so far in my torn career but it was well worth it, met a lot of great ppl on the Terror Bytes team. Would definitely vote for the same leaders next year! Great job all around guys, glad I could be a part of it, a small one admittedly but still glad I was there and proud to be called a terror bot ;) we will go down fighting to our last life!
