I agree with Baronv0ndude. 

Use your intelligence to see whether or not a person is a scammer via their days on torn, their level, their enemies, their friends, karma rating vs posts, networth, etc. I mean, if you have a low IQ like Roflcopter_001 then I guess you probably will disregard this and either scam people or not bother with taking the time to see if someone is trustworthy.

Without forum posts like these faction scammers would get off scot free, and it very entertaining seeing the scammer in question receivew justice

Ditto...anything with the drama.  I imagine them hysterically weeping as they post their thread.  Intermittently they cry out, "Why, god?  Why?"

Not so true. I have had quite a few friends that were under a year and that were trustworthy.

all jokes aside he's just suggesting stricter friend decisions. After all I'm sure 90% of faction leaders who got scammed went through that exact mentality of "he's a solid guy imma go promote him"'

perhaps these threads are getting old, in a way is a juicy jangle to get some karma, though imo if there are threads about scamming, i hope it goes along the lines of those tech support scam calls and how the scammer got reverted, those usually are entertaining, but if its a thread about woe is me I made mistake, well... not saying you don't have to, best be careful next time... meh what do i know
