I don't like (didn't rate, though) your post because I *did* see the sarcasm. Right right, compare being unable to participate in a minor part of an online game to getting rid of ramps for handicapped people in real life. ffs.
In hindsight I shouldn't have singled out your post-- what I especially didn't like is the fact that other people agreed with it.
But I was intentionally deceptive in that analogy because you were also deceptive in your post. This isn't about scraping the entire feature, and you even decided to ignore the wasted merits angle, if it were to be left as-is without resolution.
No one asked to scrap it. This is simply a bug. It's a feature that was working for them before and isn't anymore. Apparently they are working on it.
I don't think that OP was able to find items since Respo, despite your claim to the contrary it's not a feature that worked before and doesn't anymore.
She is addressing the change that was made to city finds with Respo, and she stated that she DOES want random city finds added back. Since she cannot use the current system, I don't blame her. Were I in her position I would want the old system back. I haven't used screen-readers before, maybe they can do something that is fair for her but not too easy, "building, building, building, building, falcon, building, building" but I can't imagine most of us consider that a priority with the mountain of updates we're waiting on.
I'm free to address the points I choose to address, this isn't some silly debate class where I have to counter every argument yourself or others make. But if it matters, I didn't address the merits part because it is generally assumed there will probably be a merit reset, and I didn't feel the need to direct the thread to a discussion that has been had on these forums a dozen times.
Instead I addressed OP's main point. I know it's rare these days, but it isn't deceptive.
