I'm currently posting this with TornTools enabled.
I had placed a bid on an item in the Auction House. I was outbid, but was standing by to cash my check and immediately raise my bid further. However, I did not receive my Cashier's Check for an approximately a minute after being outbid. I did attempt to place a bid with what cash I had available, which you can see I somehow did before it was logged that I was outbid.

15:49:19 - 01/12/22 You placed a bid of $135,236,879 on Typhon's auction of a Glock 17 but it was not high enough to compete with the highest bidder's maximum bid
15:50:06 - 01/12/22 You were outbid on Typhon's auction of a Glock 17
15:50:06 - 01/12/22 You received a cashier's check worth $100,000,002
I could visually see that I was outbid, but navigating to the Bank page did not show a Cashier's Check until the log/notification came through.
Perhaps there is an intentional delay built in to being issued a Cashier's Check upon losing an Auction? -

I believe the auction system runs on a cron and takes some time to process the outbids, finishing up the auction etc. Ched has mentioned in the past that we do not intend this to be a last second bidding war and everyone should be able to participate irrespective of being present/absent for the end of the auction. You should be placing your highest bid for the item and let the system do the bidding on your behalf.
Thanks! -
