Threads Players Create In The Forums Should Have Admin Rights For The Creator Of The Thread Therefore We Can Choose To Delete, Block, Ignore, Accept Etc. Of PPL Posting On The Thread, You Create.

Let's cut out crap posts and off-topic bs.

It Is Too Simple For Rude, Ignorant, Childish People To Bypass Your Blocking Of Them From Harassing You Via Mail and Chat, And Them Going To Yor Forum Thread You've Created Just To Harass You There.

If It's That Simple To Harass Players That Way After Being Blocked Via Mail and Chat... It Defeats The Purpose Of Blocking People, Correct?

if the concern is harassment / unwanted attention from people you have blocked, then the better suggestion would be to just extend the "block" to forums as well. Meaning if you block someone then you do not see their posts/replies as well.

I would support a suggestion to block folks in the forum (like Torn Tools allows). I actually want it to be the reverse of Morcha's suggestion- I find a number of people fine to work with in personal chats, but on the forums they are playing to a crowd and I don't want to see it.

Just want to make my suggestion clear but, I concur with you if what you meant is what I'm saying below.

Well, yes but only if that means "blocking" that person from posting on your threads. Not if "blocking" only hides the post from the originator because for example... If the post is still available to the public and only hidden from the creator those posts can still be used in evil ways. I use my Graphic Thread to display my talents for those who appreciate my gifts. I didn't create it for a childish idiot whom I've blocked to be able to go there, disrespect me and attack my character which can cause damage to my graphic design business.

The Blocking Should Work Where If You Block Someone From Mail and Chat it Also Blocks That Person From Posting On Threads Of Players They've Been Blocked From.

I've only been mail banned once in my whole entire 16 yrs here and I'm one of the coolest people you'll ever meet here but, I'm an adult who comes here to play my game and have fun. I didn't join Torn to be disrespected verbally by anyone! Through the years I have mainly ignored people or taken the high road. Now that is over. All Will Be Treated How They Treat Me, Period! I think the guidance is that threads are not owned by the people that create them, but instead belong to the community. So anyone can use them for whatever purpose.

This suggestion would be an entire change in how the forums are used and I'm really not sure that is a good idea. Scammers (for example) would benefit from the ability to keep people from posting on their threads to warn people of their deceptions.

So I'm still mulling over this suggestion, but I'm leaning toward no until I hear something more convincing.

EXACTLY! That is my freaken point. I blocked him. He bypasses my blocking to purposely harass and disrespect me. So, when I got tired of disrespect and I bypassed the filter so that BRUTAL_THUG could see the exact words I wanted him to see. Not feeling good about my actions led me to make this suggestion.

Nah, blocking via mail and chat shouldn't give you power to remove posts or dictate who replies to your forum threads. It prevents them from directly communicating with you and that's enough. When it comes to the public areas of the game you just have to cope.

If your suggestion was accepted you could just remove my comments in this thread, and then nobody could see how toxic you were in your original reply to BRUTAL_THUG. Thankfully I took a screenshot of it before you edited your post with some lame ass excuse of "being from a different time" as if shit people aren't shit people just because they are of a different age. :)
