Happy Jump Training when and when not to do it!

Thread created on 01:52:40 - 20/04/19 (7 years ago)|Last replied 07:39:16 - 13/10/26 (21 days ago)Skip down to the colored text if you just want to see the math of important stat points for happy jumps vs FHC and Natural training and don't wish to read reasons to not happy jump!
I wrote this not to tell people not to happy jump but to explain what the real value of a happy jump is at different points of your game and what you sacrifice doing it early on repeatably i vary much enjoy helping new players to the game but when some of them read and see the effects of a happy jump they don't understand that the math is more complicated then it may seem and there are other things to think about then rushing your training!
I always have a issue with guides that only explain how to do a happy jump without explaining why and when not to do a happy jump so i got off my ass did the math and made some examples of what is going on when you happy jump or fhc train vs natural training (with xanax for all of them and no job points although in the end energy jobs are way better then happy jobs unless you have the happy book)
For a wile i stopped trying to fight the guides and explaining to new players that happy jumps are not all as good as people make them out to be long term. Yes i do see value in 1 or 2 of them in your vary first few days if you can rack up the funds but after that i argue the bad facts about happy jumps
1. You stunt your passive income that you can have later on in your torn game every happy jump is about 25m that adds up fast 4 of them is 100m witch could be in your bank making interest (at a 2bill bank cap you are gaining about 230m every 2 months witch can be used for further investments or other training methods and keeping your self with donator status and a pi this is much better for your training long term and will help you afford FHC training later)
2. a lot of players get burnt out spending all there money they worked too hard for (prob wasting energy attacking people and losing for money witch to my point makes more wasted energy that could have been used for training )and are broke because early on they did not invest there money well!
There are some people who can handle that money grind vary well early on and to them i say happy jump away but i see more people burn out and go broke then i see having the skills to grind out that much cash and still push through and build there bank that fast and can go right into fhc training when they are ready.
Anyhow here is the calculated MATH layed out at where i find to be the most important stat points and methods of training at each point so you all can better understand what is going on here and you can cut your own path through the complicated maze of torn city!
all situations are based on maxing out booster and drug cool down and take the same amount of time to do as 1 happy jump at 1k energy with the wait for the cooldown to use a exticy to x2 your happy to be fair as possible for time vs gain! and full booster cool down on A and B
so 5 xanax=1250k energy + 960 natural regen + 750 energy from fhcs +150 refill = 3110 energy Lets call this method A with 5k base happy (extra xanax cuz no need to take a exticy)
or 4 xanax=1k energy + 0 natural regen + 0 from FHCs 150 from refill =1150 energy and 5k base happy +Dvds 12500 happy and a exticy =x2 for a total of 1150 energy and about 35k happy lets call this method b
or just 5 xanax and natural energy refill no boosters and a refill call this method c with 2360 energy and 5k happy
all calculated with George's gym0% extra gains yes other gyms would have diff stat amounts but you will fly through the gyms fast if your active and sill have the same results as to witch is better and the same sort of %gap between each method in each gym
lets say the stat you are training is 1 your a day 1 newb
Method A - Your total gain will be around = 7,353
Method B - Your total gain will be around = 19,951
Method C - Your total gain will be around = 5,656
(conclusion being B would be best for your time A would be a waist of money and C would be 1/4 as effective but you would save 25m that could be used for future training methods)
Now same thing with lets say 400k stat
A= 62,600
B=42,569
C=47,503
(and conclusion is different now A is the best and even C is better with nat regen without happy jumping Prob still recomeding C at this point no reason to spend all on FHC training here unless your wealthy enough to do it a lot)
and again with 55million stat
A=6,900,803
B=2,847,102
C=5,236,622
Now happy jumping is garbage FHC training is vary much worth its cost and C is not so bad....
This dose not account for energy from jobs or possible happy from jobs but unless you have the happy book going on the energy jobs will far out benefit the happy jobs when considering how much job points would be used to boost your happy to a further point.
Anyhow i hope this clears things up and gives you all a better understanding of the math behind when to and when not to happy jumpLast edited by CPrinceC on 21:06:36 - 07/06/23 (3 years ago) -

Unless they buy DPs, but new players are unlikely to do that, as often they don't really know what's going on. -

Posted on 13:50:11 - 20/04/19 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkThe problem is actually new players are too lazy to make that much money. Everyone has a potential to make money, they can easily get it from selling losses, travelling etc.

This is not to say do happy jumps or not to do jumps it is more to say to those doing happy jumps without understanding them that it may not be your best option even tho the guides all out there say it is without counting into effect the math behind it and personal play stiles.

At what point do you think the cost/reward changes in favor of Happy jumping vs popping Xanax? Vladar's spreadsheet seems to be overly optimistic at my level. I'll try my normal Choco Jump one day, pop Xanax the next for data. I'll hopefully do it perfect over the next two days, and edit the results in here. Maybe they'd add to the conversation.
Vladar predicts my gains will be 10,000 stat points over two days at $6 Million cost. Happy Jump is $28 Million, predicted gains 17,413, and then there's 90 Natural Energy to play with to round out the 24 hours. -

Posted on 19:01:51 - 24/04/19 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkI noticed rapidly declining benefits from high happy levels as my stats got past 300k.
I plan on a couple more happy jumps to get my sub 300k stats up and then it will just be xanax from there on out for me.Last edited by BernieSanders on 19:25:12 - 24/04/19 (7 years ago) -

Posted on 01:58:39 - 26/04/19 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkthat sounds about right i norm say at 200k the money vs benefit is no longer worth it but if your good at grinding money or over average for activity 300k is fine... at 400k its almost = gains for happy jump vs just Xanax and natural re-gen starts to pull ahead.It comes down to your personal ability to make money and how fast they wish to get into the investment game. So many different paths to this game opting for a faster root to riches is sometimes a better option then ever doing a happy jumping. At some point your investments will make you so much money that stats will be faster gained just like happy jumps get over run by natural training+xanax at a point so dose early investing increases your ability to afford more expensive training methods in the future. the math is vary dependent on your play stile and how active you are and most guides lately seem to be not mentioning any other point of view to progression other than early rushed stats witch is nice but unless your being funded by a friend or possibly great at poker or something your gonna be broke for longer. Be aware of happy jumps and do happy jumps if you wish but understand the benefit of them and understand what you lose in the process of doing them.

Posted on 06:24:41 - 26/04/19 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkThanks for the follow ups guys!
I pulled my Choco Jump Day / Xanax Day cycle off without a hitch. Vladar was actually pretty much on target. I gained about 11,000 stat points over the two days, at a cost of just over $6 Mil. Actually a better gain than the spreadsheet predicted, and I expected less.
200K to 400K I'll watch for the happy gains to start tapering off, and lean more to just Xanax boosts. -

Posted on 21:11:27 - 27/04/19 (7 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkat 55m stat would be around 2,863,045
at 1 33,387
at 400k it be 56,024
at 500k it be 61,683
fhc train would be 76,387
fnatrual would be 57,965
600k stat = 69147 with the adault novilty
vs 600k stat natral = 68427
vs FHC = 90,173
that would be your point there around 600k but a energy job would do much better per point then if we get into the value of jobs
keep in mind the cost vs gain difference should be accounted for and i would prob reecomend its not worth the cost after 400k-500k stats with the adault novily ... and without it prob only worth bothering with till 200k-300k stats after that the diff becomes fairly small and the money could better be used to set yourself up for the future of FHC trainingLast edited by CPrinceC on 21:15:13 - 27/04/19 (7 years ago) -
