I just finished reading "Ignorance is Bliss: Happiness can regenerate above maximum for 31 days" and I wanted to share my Happiness and SSL Training datapoints for those working on the happiness formula. Most people would have gotten their 99,999 happiness via E-Dvds and Ecstasy; however, I'm limited on the latter part since I'm currently in SSL. I got to 99,999 happiness by using E-dvds only (Yes, it took a few days ) and it provided some good datapoints for happiness and training.

For training, I used SSL (25E) only and had the 9% bonus to Speed training from faction. My Speed is already over 50m so stat capped for training. Below are the results of training at different data points:

This is great data!  You said you had 9% faction bonus, I'm guessing you had 2% from property and 2% from education, which (as I recently found out), would make for 1.09*1.02*1.02 = 1.134 (13.4%) bonus.  I used my spreadsheet  from my tutorial to see how close it really was for such a wide range of happy, and these were the results:

I obviously have something a bit wrong with the slope of how happy affects things, since it starts out estimating a bit high and ends up estimating a bit low, but overall not a bad error... now I might want to tweak my formula!

    Thanks again for sharing!

This is very interesting data indeed. If I ever get that book, I'll have to expand this guide with how great drug users gains can be in the other gyms with maxed out happy.

If I remember correctly, it's about the equivalent of +20% gains or so?

I started the book below def cap but afterwards it was about average 102,500 per train when my book-less gains on strip went down to about 85k after it was over. Haven't actually done the math.

But yes, it is a boost to stat gains even if you're capped. Obviously it won't be as much as a +30% gains book obviously but it'll still help. I gained 128m defense starting at 5m and ending up at 133m with that book, using 25e cans. So with higher cans or FHC it'd be higher.
