Make your own Travel Running Spreadsheet:
I've added example values to this spreadsheet. Note the color coded "profit/day" column. Dark green represents the best current profit for time spent on the given trip if you could do only that trip all day for an entire day. Remember to update the prices from the market before you use this to determine best travel destinations. Use https://travelrun.torncentral.com to determine where stuff is in stock vs not(or better yet, Mauk's DocTorn Browser Extension or the associated TravelHub Website, which is both more reliable, and updated more often).

    It can be *yours*:
You can right click on the tab at the bottom and click "Make a copy" to copy the whole thing to your own Google Sheets account(free), and use it to your heart's content.

    Price Import Automation!
If you're interested in reproducing the API import, you can find instructions for doing so within Google Sheets, in Torn's API forums here. Note that you'll have to use your own API key(I'm not sharing mine). The second tab on this sheet already has the formula for importing the current bazaar price of Xanax, as an example. Simply insert your API key into that after you get the script set up correctly, and then you can copy that cell with updated item numbers from Torn Stats Item List to fill in for the other items. Note that going beyond a certain number of items(something like 30) will cause this to exceed your API-calls-per-minute limit when you pull the data. I ended up making a second import sheet to handle a second set of items on my spreadsheet. To force the whole sheet to update later, simply delete the import column(Column B), and then "Undo" the deletion(scary, yes, but it gets the job done).

Edit values in light green. All other fields are calculated. Enter your base carry capacity in the field marked(it's also in light green).

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LIXN4dX8gM3sinVlWORZXIVvlKtnu1Hfg7NLTbOqr1w/edit?usp=sharing

Let me know if you can't make a copy because it's restricted to commenting only. I can change it to "anyone with link can edit", but then there's the potential for vandalism. It doesn't matter to me, because this isn't my actual sheet anyway, but it wouldn't be useable if someone destroyed it. I can always just copy over it though.

Yes, this is kind of a shameless plug for my own trading business, but this also is the exact setup I use to import pricing for my own trading spreadsheet(no, I'm not sharing that with you). So you can compete with me if you can figure out the trading sheet(not really that difficult). https://www.torn.com/forums.php#!p=threads&f=10&t=15975475&b=0&a=0 Now sell me your plushies!

If you find this helpful, please reply to the thread to share it with others!

There's no way to access travelhub on mobile, so far as I know. I'm hopeful that the Mauk will put a web page together to replace the older, not as reliable, but still in use, Travelrun page. On mobile, I usually use either #runners IRC, or https://travelrun.torncentral.com.

I use the application "IRC Cloud" for IRC on my phone. Works on both Android and Apple Mobile OS, and you can effectively get around the "Free Version Limitation" of 2-hours-idle-max by keeping it open on any computer in a web browser. That will keep you connected indefinitely, as long as the computer stays online. As an IRC client on mobile, it's not awesome, but it's useable. I just use the Web version when I get into IRC on my computer, and so I don't even use any other IRC client any more. One additional advantage is that you never have to worry about using groups of nicknames in IRC. It's one persistent session across all devices.

One way to run travelhub on a mobile device, potentially, would be to play Torn on a device like a Microsoft Surface Pro, where you can install full Chrome, and any and all Chrome plugins/scripts/extensions. But then you're going to be carrying around a laptop everywhere with you, essentially.

EDIT: See Mauk's post just below regarding potentially running DoctorN on Android. I'm not sure I want to even bother, since Android City Watch already does almost everything I want anyway, and as he also states, a travelhub site for mobile is coming. Besides that, I haven't been travelling much at all lately, between trading, helping to run a faction, and also now running a company.

I highly recommend Android City Watch, if you haven't heard of it. Costs a bit of points to get the in-game "license" to use City Watch, but then you can essentially get push notifications for anything and everything in Torn on your phone, combined with one click login, which is so fast sometimes I do it on accident and end up logging myself out of my PC session unintentionally. Android City Watch is a grey area application that is semi-sanctioned, but I've tested the version I have(should be the most recent version available; it's no longer supported) with a software firewall on my phone, and it has never attempted to contact any domain or IP address not explicitly Torn owned and operated.

On mobile devices, DoctorN is only compatible with Firefox for Android, unfortunately.

Other than that, Throe is correct that a site for doc with Travel Hub access is coming. In fact, something that I was waiting for happened today, so I'll get back to finishing the site soon enough.

edit: Also, you can keep up with Travel Hub via our Discord server. This is useful because Discord has clients for most platforms (both desktop and mobile) and you can even enable push notifications.

This is pretty amazing, I copied this and modified it a little to suit me but it was an awesome base. If you wanted to consider adding them to your spreadsheet, my changes were as follows:

    - I added a 'refresh' button that updates all of the values and also stores the old values before they change so I can see if a Sell Value has dropped and if it is likely to rise again.

    - Added a 'Cost/Trip' row so I can quickly tell if I am holding enough cash (I often forget to check this)

    - Colour coded 'Sell Value' to show if its price is higher or lower than its average price.

I have my own solution for the cost per trip, and the average sell values, but I'm curious to know how you're pulling average pricing.

Also, I'd love to know how you made a refresh button.

I wrote a quick script that copies the values over to the right each time it refreshes, I just refreshed a few times over 3-4 days for a quick average.

On the import page, I have all the cells that import JSON as If statements, if (cell =1, IMPORT), then I use a script to change the value of the cell to 0, pause for a second and change it back to 1. Tada refresh

Thanks to tos throwing a proof of concept oc script my way at the right time (and the usual suspect for being about) I now have a much cleaner and quicker spreadsheet, which more importantly uses half the api calls it used to. The new method for getting the prices also makes it much nicer to share. Travel run stuff really needs reworking but eh it works, though slowly.

I don't know why these sheets include a field for how many you carry. It's the same for all destinations, so it's just a linear scaler. The best place to fly will always be the same, it's just better by more if you carry more. :P

Otherwise this sheet looks really good though. :)

It includes a field for how many you carry to make it easier to change with things like faction perks, which do change, and sometimes often. While it could easily be incorporated with a single field at the top, and then incorporated into the formulas from there, having it in each column makes it a bit handier to fill formulas(which is really the only reason it's still in there the way it is; it's a vestigal column).

Edit: While you're correct that the best place to fly doesn't vary based on travel items, your daily estimated profit does, which is another purpose of this sheet. If I was only interested in which was the best place to travel at any given moment, I'd just use #runners IRC.
