[UserScript] Add Item Market Link to Left Nav
-
Thread created on 13:24:04 - 16/02/15 (11 years ago)|Last replied 09:54:22 - 09/04/20 (6 years ago)What is this user script about?
This script adds a direct link to the item market in the left-hand navigation, so that the market is easily accessible from any location in torn where the left-hand nav appears.
Installation:
Install Greasemonkey if you are using Firefox: Greasemonkey Addon for Firefox
Install Tampermonkey if you are using Chrome: Tampermonkey Extension for Chrome
Finally install the userscript: Left-Hand Item market link
I've updated the script so that it adds the Item market link as the second item in the menu. It's not pretty code but it works :)
Changelog:- 1.0: first working version, tested in FF
Don't hesitate to post any changes you'd like below, it's a relatively straightforward script that helps me so thought it may help yous.
This is just a slight modification to the armory link script I created before due to a suggestion I saw, no pressure to use it but again if it's helpful to you then glad to be of help.Last edited by Mr_Red on 18:34:32 - 18/02/15 (11 years ago) -

But I think the link should be positioned under the city link and not at the end. I tried to do this for myself so I changed the last line to: "menu[0].insertBefore(div,menu[0].childNodes[6]);" But I think there has to be a better way to archive this. I also changed the icon to the city link icon but I think that's a matter of taste.Last edited by Elge on 18:06:19 - 17/02/15 (11 years ago)

Posted on 20:54:02 - 21/02/15 (11 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkFor what it's worth, I think I have an even better solution: you use some junk item (soap on a rope, box of tissues, empty box, etc), and you list it for, say, 10k or any absurd price you can think of. Sure, the item will never sell, but you'll have a clickable icon.
If having cash offshore allows you to have a travel icon, the same logic applies to items market.
That's what I did, along with listing 1 point for 100k, so I have my quick links without using scripts. []Recently in the Auction House:
Dune Vest (sold for: 820m),
and Dune Gloves (sold for: 515m)See you next time

It's just something to save a bit of time here and there :)

I will move this to the API forum. As that is where stuff like this tends to be grouped.
Cheers.

This should belong in tutorials and guides should it not?
This script has nothing to do with the API.

Will move to guides section.
