Running A Company

• To run a company, you must own it. There are two ways to acquire a company: you can buy an established company from another player or you can start a new company. Established companies may come with employees stock items and upgrades.

• The owner is the director of the company and must manage the company.

• The new company day is currently at 3:50-3:51 AM Torn time.

• In order to improve a company you should strive for the best profits because profits only come by running a company more efficiently and that is always good. Your employee pay does NOT affect your company's ability to star up (a common misconception).

• Cleaners affect your cleanliness, the more employees you have the more you will need, their manual should be 2k or better as their efficiency will suffer otherwise.
• Environment is based on the size of the staff room and number of employees, if your environment stat drops it means you need a larger staff room to house your large number of employees.
• Efficiency is how efficient your average employee is (their stars) your income can greatly suffer if this drops and even hit 0 quickly. You do get a small bonus income if you can hold it at 100% as opposed to just below 100%.
  • Things that affect an employee's stars adversely are inactivity (fixed by them logging in at least once a day), drug use (fixed by them taking a trip to rehab) and low happy in comparison to their max (things like moving housing can effect this and can be fixed by the use of an Erotic DVD or other happy boosting agent).
• Popularity also greatly affects income, it is based on the popularity of your company in comparison with other similar companies IE sports teams. Advertising campaigns will give a small boost to this and increase the number of customers you get each day.
• You can train employees daily equal to the stars of the company IE a 1* company will get 1 train per day while a 5* will get 5 trains per day.

Joining a Company

• When joining a company, you must decide what rank you wish to be. All are different and will aid the company in different ways. Each rank has its own pay which the director of the company decides. The primary and secondary stats are the stats which will help the company you join, the higher they are, the better you will be at that rank i.e getting more customers, keeping the workplace clean, building hardware faster etc. The secondary stat is half as good as your primary stat at the rank. Your working stats will be less effective if they are over the stat cap. If your stats are over the stat cap, the amount over it is 50% less effective. Stats over twice as much as the cap will not affect the company.
  • What this means is if the stat cap is 10,000 with a primary stat of manual, and a secondary of endurance 66% of your ability comes from Manual, and 33% from endurance, so if you had 5,000 manual you would have +33% ability, and 7,500 you would add about +25% equaling 58% ability in the position up to 10,000 of each where you would be 100%. After this your abilities effectiveness is halved 33% and 27% (about) so you can get up to 150% but after 100% you need 2x the stats for the same effect, the result meaning the TRUE stat cap is 20,000 but your stats get half as effective as they were at 10,000

• The stat gain is your daily gain. Company directors gain based on how many stars their company has, at 1* they gain 10 of every working stat, at 2* 20, at 3* 30, at 4* 40 and up to 50 of each per day at a 5* company

• Employees will gain 1 job point per day per star of the company. IE a 1 star company gives 1 job point per day, while a 5* gives 5.
