The Auction House is similar to the Item Market, however, in here you bid on items.

You can only be the top bidder on 1 item at a time.
The money that you have bid comes out when you win, not when you bid. Meaning, if you're bidding on a collectible at $300,000,000 this will attract the attention of muggers, and you will likely be mugged a few times before you win the item and in the end, you might not have enough money.

You can often buy things a lot cheaper than Market Value. If you buy things cheap in the Auction House then sell them at Market Value in the Item Market then you can make a profit. If you keep doing this, you can get rich fast. See Money Maker
After winning 100 auctions you can obtain the Honor 'Bargain Hunter'
