i joined one for about 3 days and it seemed all that was happening was me being in the hospital. i couldn't even attack anyone else cause they were all higher level than me.

Depends how you wish to play the game, At a low level to join a faction that is involved in wars, No it is not worth it. If they're a small training faction that aren't within ranks of many factions warring it would be a helpful start.

Generally it is better to wait 14 at the least before joining a faction, As it keeps your 14 day protection in effect and gives you time to train your stats.

Depends, if they are a helpful faction then yes. As they will be providing you with advice and if they are very nice even drugs and other supplies to help you build stats. They might be shaping you so that you become a better player than you would have otherwise - I am living proof, when I started I was rubbish (probably still am) but I have certainly progressed thanks to helpful factions along the way.

I believe it is all down to the leadership, if they are helpful and friendly its worthwhile, if not you could end up progressing at a slower rate than you would by yourself.

The best situation would be to get into a HOF faction or one that is progressing as they will make you a better player for it to benefit them in the longer run.

Voices and Empire both have good points. You just have to figure out how YOU want to play the game and plan accordingly. I received some really simple advice when I was young and have swore by it since. There is no point in trying to be the best right now, this game is all about the long run. As soon as you start planning for the long haul, the sooner you'll get where you want to be. Best of luck

A faction could be very good for you. Your faction mates could help you, give advice, maybe let you borrow some weapons etc.
I wouldve quit torn years ago if it werent for my faction mates. My advice to you, dont try to find a faction that will give you the most free shit, dont try to join a faction that has a bunch of high levels. Join a faction that has really cool people in it. You will enjoy the game more, and will learn a lot more. Good luck!

I joined this game with about 20 other players that came from another game and we all learned how to play the game together but back then there were still peaceful factions so we never had to war.

It depends on the faction. My step brother was in my current faction and said it was really a good faction. He said I couldn't join till I hit 15. So I joined some crap faction and it was miserable. I hit 15 and joined my current faction and I have not regretted it at all. I've made good friends and learned alot. I wouldn't be where I am now without my faction.

^^ this. It is true for me. Since i have joined couple of factions to meet different people and to have more fun. Clicking gym daily is boring.
faction is always fun. you can always bother good people to help you and give advice. YOu just have to find a right faction with great people.

I have been iffy on factions. It just doesn't seem worth it at a low-level.

As long as you're OK with spending some time in hospital, and as long as your faction provides meds for you, I beleive the faction specials and extra helpful advice you can get from a faction (as well as networking and making new friends) makes the benefits outweigh the 'cost' of extra hospital time.

Just don't join a faction that doesn't have members who are around your own level, because if you get declared on, the weakest will usually get hit first (ie. you).

A few thngs to remember here. A faction should be full of freinds that are dedicated to the faction and to a particular way of playing the game. You should fit in and feel like your home there.

IF you can find a faction like that then you have found ther right faction for you. The steadfast upgrades will help you build your stats. Alot of factions have all kinds of competitions. We were giving away 20-30 mill a training break for the younger members who gained the most in stats.

Factions are full of advice but remembr no one's advice is right unless ofcourse you plan to play the same way as the person giving the advice.

I would see if you can get into a faction that offers xanax during training breaks, if possible, as that would help you gain stats in this game faster than you could by yourself.

Most factions probably want a certain amount of stats but some only care if you can chain and that's their only criteria as they know the newbie players they have they will sculpt into little baby badasses as time goes on.

Being able to fly to Swiss and pay for rehab would be nice.
Plus advising folks to start out as a leacher isnt really my cup of tea regarding advising newbs...
