Well i think that ched has just made the war system a bit worse with his changes and making it harder to have real wars.
Having the max war limit set to 300 for declaring and being declared on i see wont be working. In Big wars factions can pull easily 500 hits in a few hours but being only allowd 300 people in a warbase will only be able to pull off 3 100man chains.
The other update about faction wars napping and ending if attacking isnt active enough i see as another bad idea for smaller factions who arent strong chainers will just make it more difficult for them to chain, and wars ending un suspectingly i see as another inconvience as youll need to wait a whole day before being able to declare on any other faction.
The cap on energy however i dont mind that itll just make big hof wars start of alot slower then usual.
The war between Global Intell Center and DropBears is now over.
The war between KMA- Recruiting and DropBears is now over.
The war between Spontaneous Muggers' and DropBears is now over.
The war between Secret Service and DropBears is now over.
We manage To pull 2 100 chains a day.
SS was a rank war and only had like 10 people in it so we mainly focuses bonuses on them we got them to about 70% our way. We were just about to get ready to do another 100man chain and this happens. Its now f**king joke. Thanks Chedburn for screwing every fac hof and esp not hof small factions.
Last hits we made were earlier this morning when we pulled a 100 man chain.
I don't see why there's a cap at all - if there's energy, you should be able to attack!
there needs to be a cap so you cant declare on every faction in torn but idk why its so small at 300 i guess 500 is much more reasonable
There always needs to be a cap on features because there will always be that one person who finds a way to abuse/exploit the system..
500-600 in the warbase is enough. I don't see why anyone would really need more than that.
300 is far too less for more advanced factions though

Very very bad idea!
4+ of my wars ended in failures because my faction chains only once in 2-3days at the moment.
my faction dropbears chain once every day and 4 of our wars ended today because apperently we dint hit them enough so todays chain left us really low on targets

Maybe they should add a new faction upgrade to allow you to buy a bigger warbase.
Just upto v where that would add another 250 spaces
Albeit I'd rather the shit member limit just be gone, That is a nice idea if it can't (And wont) be.
The wars ending due to not being able to hit is really very bad when the faction have less members.
As the war will end soon because of less hits made to the war.
Itsy Bitsi Bikini(IBB) is recruiting.
We need chainers with atleast 250mil BS and we are leniant if you are very active in wars and loyal to faction members. So if you think you are good enough then join us.
Conditions apply.
We just have to wait a couple of days till someone figures out how many atacks a day they need from each faction to make a large group of them "peacefull" (bunch of atacks a day just to guarantee the war goes on forever)... Then it will be changed again...
EDIT: Forgot the most obvious exploit:
"Well we dont want anyone declaring on us while we milk respect from this lousy factions that are a sure win... so lets just keep them at 300 members..."

Ok. Of course big factions can easy make 500 hits and bonuses can be spent on the main one. But is it actually a war? What for do you need chaining upgrade? In my opinion, the next step step might be bringing back old chains(bonuses for 200, 500, 1000th hit as suggested Rowdy)
What? How this will make chaining more diffucult? If small factions didn't attack them that means that they have enough people in their warbase to make their hits. In addition, this will only help small factions in this way: stronger faction attacks weaker because they need easy targets dor their chains while they have enother tough wars. When the war ends they just stop hitting and weaker's warbase become less for undefined amount of time because they can't hit back.

do the math, it's not worth it. 100 hit chains are better than that and can be done at any time. for big chains you need organization and targets, and to not let it break, and in the end you get less? yeah, right.
Ched Doesn't seem to care about the warring system.
He doesn't seem to look into what people say and that thing he posted in announcements about the committees idea. And the people who is listening to.. Half them don`t have a clue them self.
I don't see why a cap is needed. Stop slutting respect. Make respect harder to keep in wars then simple.
Respect is so easy to gain. And Ched says he will stop slutting pffft f**k off.. Not while respect is that easy to gain.

A) Committee members tend to patrol the suggestions and GD forums mainly - that's where you tend to find most of the ideas for new updates and feedback on recently released ones respectively. I can't speak for others but there's enough to keep track of already and I'm not a helper, so I tend not to patrol the Questions forum (this might be the case for some other committee members as well).
B) AFAIK the committee has no idea of how the inactivity "algorithm" works, so nobody in it could really answer your "question" anyway.
It might very well be that only Ched knows what the "algorithm" actually is and what consequences there are for expired wars, so you'd have to ask him - personally I'd suspect it would just be a straight up NAP with no bonus respect for the leading side, as war bonuses are triggered by someone winning.
IMO it sucks, we just had 4 wars 2 of them ranking wars, pulled out from under us and we were well on our way to winning them. The wasted e and time. Its aggravating as hell to have that happen.

I fully agree, and I would like to state that for the record, we (in the committee) were not informed on this NAP-thing, and from the discussion that is going on with the committee, a lot of us do not agree with this either.
This so called NAP-update is ridiculous.

Did the committee's vote even include the NAP?
