I would say, easier said than done... that has to be 12+ 100 chains a day and not a lot of faction can accomplish that easily without stacking.. sure the wars maybe easy but almost every member attacking non stop without training for months needs dedication.. sure it may be easy as some players claim, but how many factions actually do that?

I'm sure most hof factions would've done mass ranked wars given the chance as well. They just don't really have much room to move anymore.
And what is wrong with going up the ranked list? People are complaining about "farming respect" from ranked wars... yet they want more active factions up in hof. So factions shouldnt do any ranked wars and just sit at their current rank?
Blame the system not the factions.

I'd give it 8 chains maximum(not including win bonuses as the factions they declare on rarely fight back so they must be tiny) for a 88 man faction that's around 10 hits a day per member, it's also hard for most factions to do that as they don't have the luxury of being rank 500 with their member base
and iiNsane surely if you wanted more active hof factions they would try and move up the ranks quicker?, also not complaining, just saying it isn't all that impressive

Yea but the leader's job is to do what is best for the team, no?
If the team benefits more by going up the ranks one by one then it's obviously the better option.
Gotta play the system and take advantage of it. It's the admins' duties to change it if it doesn't work, not the player's duty to make up imaginary rules and play by them.
And yes it's not quite impressive. But the objective is not to impress others but to upgrade specials and improve as a faction.
If you want to impress then have some serious wars and show others what you got.
edit: on another note, I personally wouldn't pay others to chain for us and I don't think anyone else should. Do what you can do with your actual loyal members and build upon what you have. Paying guests/members doesn't produce loyalty.

IBB does not pay for attacks. It was 500k stat requirement with 6 attacks per day requirement, not 500k for 6 attacks. Learn to read.
Btw this respect gain is from 3 weeks of the last month, so the system is clearly broken.

yes, more active hof factions would be awesome. If I see one more thread of "we want a war" with a reply "you know where the declare button is" with so little actual activity after all that posturing, my eyes may roll back into me head. what's the point of just declaring in the hof if you cannot do it for rank and there's no fight back? just hit declare is the worst retort ever. That's why, to save ourselves from hearing it again, we're just declaring every month. Eff all the posturing, git 'er dun.
yes, watching them farm respect kinda sucks. while us just declaring will keep us from getting bored, and liven up irc, it will never do us the kind of good the massive ranked war will, both sides fighting or even just the one side like in all IBBs wars. it's really no different than the abuse of dex that went on for ages. anyone doing it felt justified - it was part of the game as it was built at that time - those who didn't abuse watched in different levels of anger and jealousy. Honestly, I cannot believe there aren't 100 factions below 500 rank trying it.
yes, I wish we had that same advantage of growth, or it was taken away in general, or somehow the playing field was leveled. same way I felt about the dex bug. but at least with the dex, basically anyone could do it. our faction literally can't take advantage of the manipulation without just leaving it and buying another faction and starting all over.

Rockers would have made enough respect for steadfast X too if this update would happen before we started warring. Too bad that it happened when we were near to end the wars
Anyway I don't like this system, cause factions are gaining respect more easily.

Pissed is a strong word...
I'm not upset at all, just seems kinda pointless to keep doing it. Nor do I blame them for doing it, hell if I were in their shoes, I'd declare a bunch of ranked wars too (although I'd have an actual war as well).

Well firstly to get to hof there needs to be ranked wars. So no they aren't completely separate facts.
Sure you can jump 25 ranks at a time instead of 1... But that wouldn't be a smart decision if you want the best for your faction.
Some don't give a shit about being in hof and just want to give their faction the best they could. Wars between non-hof and hof factions can still occur if agreed upon.

Wars between hof and non hof can happen even if not agreed upon, we can declare on anyone anytime, as we do for filler constantly, but they aren't as beneficial as rank wars. All I'm saying is that ppl in the hof griping we want more activity up here doesn't mean we can't equally gripe about/envy the respect farming that's going on. they are not dependent on each other at all. Besides, it is Torn, we can find a way to bitch about anything

my point was obviously that these real wars you speak of are, as I stated, not as beneficial. Unless you're declaring for rank, the gains aren't as strong. even with both sides fighting back, while they're better, they're not the same as having a warbase of 300 people all ranked wars. but that wasn't my point anyway. my point was that saying hof activity and faction farming at rank 500 are not tied together. not trying to argue about the merits of REAL wars, as you put it, which are few and far between nowadays in the hof.

I'm not saying I disagree with you that the system is unfair (I won't comment that).
But we've had a war that reached 10-11k respect earned for each faction just for a few days, and they weren't even fighting back too much. At the same time, we had another war that reached 5-6k. The bonus respect from claiming victory was like 12-15k for first and 5-6k for second. None of them were rank wars. I'm pretty sure you can gain quite a lot of respect with warring against chaining factions that hit back.
