-try to make a character that has a chance to appear in these story.
Basically, what you did was tried to insert something outside the genre of the thread.
For example, if I had described an ogre imprisoned in the keep of the castle. Doesn't go.
You really expected anyone to take "I'm E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial!" seriously?
Sorry if you did, but probably not going to happen unless the OP states it as an alien thread.

Perhaps I am. Consider that I was the last poster in that thread.
I could blame myself or my character for the fact that the thread didn't go anywhere, but that probably isn't the reason.
Significantly altering the genre or intent of a thread is not recommended, though.

Sorry about my activity today I got....Let's say sidetracked, with other commitments and whatnot.
